The car is a 2007 Eclipse. We got a tune from someone but its not exactly the right file. I didn't want to pay $650 for a custom supercharger tune from this guy in Canada. My buddy copied the tune and made the same changes to my file. We're using mmcflash. Now the car gets P0601. It starts but you can barely drive it.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I tried putting my stock file back in but the car wont even start - immobilizer error.

 

Maybe that's what happens when you try to steal tunes from some guy in Canada and copy them. For the record this guy put up a post on club4g that he got one of my tunes and could copy and resell it for a low low price. It would seem that the rom is better protected than you'd think.

Check your tps and iac

 

TPS sensor won't cause a P0601 (internal checksum error). There is a lot of protection built into our roms to prevent people from stealing and reselling all the features as their own.
