Trying to do injector scaling.. what am I doing wrong?

Hi Everyone,

Just seeing if I could get an answer to this...

So I've got delphi 1000cc injectors using PTE 1000cc scaling

943

3.312
2.088
1.392
1.056
0.816
0.672
0.552

went for a drive and logged,

Fuel Trim Low reads -7.421875
Fuel Trim Mid reads -2.5390625

I'm trying to get it to 0% as close as possible, do I need to increase the INJECTOR SCALING more or decrease the LATENCY?

any help\answer would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Check the Merlin guide and you might have better luck with 886 listed there.

Afaik Delphi makes the injector that pre uses. Actual flow is around 940..

ratsbud is correct most dealers selling 1000cc inj are using a 950cc Delphi # 17113744
We mod this injector to a real 1000cc inj . You should set these up for a 950 inj it most likely work out for you
Good luck Frank RCI

Disable Lean-spool
Adjust the scaling such that WOT AFR is the best match to the fuel map AFR
Re-enable Lean-spool if you are going to use it.
Now work on fuel trims and latency.

lean spool already disabled,

changed scaling to 886 with appropriate latencies, still no change to fuel trims.... its exactly the same as it was when i set it to 943

Disable lean spool, set safe timing, and fuel with ALL colums/rows above 120 load at 11.5 , take car in to mild boost, about 10 pounds is @ 120-130 load and let off. check logs. if it says 11.5 at 10 pounds or there, your in. if its high, or if its low, then you scale your injectors accordingly, minimul adjustments. Merlins guid is 90% spot on. I have some changes and revisions I might offer for highly modified cars, but I can only make them a little better, the logic in that manual is sound. Start with injector tuning method 2, then go back to method one, and then dial in to finish.

my 2 cents
