So for a 2011 to go to 2010 does it have to be bench flashed?

Really want to try this but also curious about the rev hang issue and what it was.

Please see the first post I laid it out so its easy to understand.

Rev hang is too much timing as its coming down, its nothing new and a problem no matter what ROM you are on. Tune it away and its fine.

the 2011+ combo works perfect in a 2009 for AUDM

that would be equal to a 2010 (colour display yeh?) into a 2008 USDM

2010+ had the color display here, so you mean to say that the 08/09 ROM worked okay in the 10+....I gather?

Havent tried it so I am not sure. If it requires benchflashing it will tell you right away that it wont work. If you dont have a benchflash harness it might not be worth trying if you cant recover the ECU. I guess I can try flashing an EDM ROM onto a US car here and see if it works.

Speaking of benchflashing, we will be offering it as a service for anyone that is in need. Either recovering the ECU or converting to different years as needed. Please contact me via PM, email, or call the shop if its something you are interested in or need.

Has anyone been able to backdate a 2011 MR to a 2010 MR map? Stock or Tephra?

Thanks!

Yes, I posted in the first post that I had done both directions for year and both ROM types.
