Has anyone had a issue with not being able to select what to log? Rpm is preselected but I can not select anything else since I installed the update a few months ago.

Hi guys,
I already searched the Forum but found no answer.

I have the original device that ships with EvoDroid7 running on my OpenPort 1.3DA just fine.
Now I want EvoDroid run on a new device, so I installed EvoScan_1.02.apk on my new Android device.
Furthermore I activated USB-Debugging.
The application starts but it does not connect to the OpenPort 1.3DA.
I get the Message "Re-plug in the Open Port Cable".

What am I doing wrong? Do I miss any configuration or something?

this is exactly why we sell it pre-configured with Kindle Fire HD7s, you think all androids are the same, when actually they are not. If you are using a Kindle Fire HD7, it should just work... what device are you trying it on?

you could be just missing a gauge template at that resolution, thats all. what is the resolution error message that comes up? you can just go into the gauge designer.exe and create a new background and txt file with the correct resolution, then it will work.

No, I don't get a resolution error.
I already made tmp gauges because this is mandatory to start the application.
In fact I don't get any error at all on the tree failing devices.
But I get the good old "Re-plug in the Open Port Cable" message.

I am really interested to know what you do to make a device "pre-configured" before sale.
There must be something I missed to do as well.

first I root the Kindle HD7 device so that the auto power off works when you switch the car key off. then set the usb debugging to on, some devices only work with it switched off. then the usb port works.

So nothing pretty special.
Maybe it's a Problem with the apk I use. The file name is EvoScan_1.02.apk.
Is there a newer version of EvoScan existing? I don't see it on the EvoScan Website.

send an email to support at evoscan.com and I will send you the latest version. but it sounds like it is probably just something special with your device, maybe the USB has not been set up properly in the ROM that android device is running.

So i bought this about year or so ago and it never worked with my gauges plus the screen quality on the tablet was horrendous. So I am curious can I buy one of the 7" kindles tablets and install evoscan on it? I'm hoping my AEM gauges will work now. I've got the box still installed in my car and feel like I would like to try and use it.

Yes sure can. Amazon has some good deals on Kindle, make sure its the Fire HD7 version otherwise their basic Kindle Fire 7inch screen is also horrendous.

Did they discontinue the HD 7" can't seem to find them listed new on Amazon.com. I see the regular 7 and I see an HD 6". Would the HD 6" work with Evoscan?

Hey, yeah I use the HD6 in my evo4, it has the exact same resolution 1280x800 as the HD7 so it works exactly the same, its just 1 inch smaller. Still a great screen.
