Serial data logging and windows 7 with aem

Does anyone have a serial data logging set up going with windows 7 and an aem? I have the rear o2 mod but id like to see if serial works for me better.

I've heard there's a lot of campatibility issues with 7 and serial to USB adapters. There's no way to pin the aem directly to a USB adapter is there?

I own this one:
http://www.aemelectronics.com/inline...ontroller-1159

Years ago I bought it and nice tiny serial to usb converter as well, tried to use it on Win7 with no luck, there was a signal, but converter was totally incompatible, then I tried to use my old onverter (delock) and connected easilly. That's a fact, that some serial-usb convertes are incompatible with AEM. However I had wired into rear O2 in the end to log via OBD.

In the end I feel like my analog doesn't ever match my gauge and I was trying to gain accuracy.

Is there any slight delay, or AFR mismatch? Together with my AEM wb I have Innovate LM-1, AFR visible in LCD has slight delay.

The analog AEM guages do not have a serial output, only the digital gauges...

Analog and serial outputs are different... analog is a 0-5v signal, serial output is not a 0-5v signal... hope you can figure something out!

I understand that completely. My gauge has analog and serial out. I want to log serial next to analog to see the difference.

In that case, I have been using a serial to USB adapter with windows 7 for about a year now... only issue was getting windows to recognize the adapter, after that it was all good...

I have an ancient radioshack cable (tan) that is about 6 years old... worked perfect with XP, then took me 2 days to get windows 7 to recognize it... I was relieved when it finally recognized it LOL

Ive used this version through Megasquirt (240sx KA-t), with the Innovate LC1, and now my Aem wideband when I made a Serial connector for EvoScan prior to wiring it into my ECU.
