from Stock to Tephra V7 and no Power anymore

I have a weird problem with my Ecuflash

One Week ago i changed my Ecuflash from Stock to the Tephra V7 Mod. All the new options are available. I just changed/translated the normal Ignition and Fuel Maps in the Big Map Tables. Beside of the Ignition and Fuel Maps i touched nothing. So i wrote the Tephra File with the new and BIG Fuel & Ignition Map in my ECU. Short Testdrive and then i recognized that i have almost 50% of my old Power anymore.

I have to say that im a newbie on this things. So maybe its not that easy i thought to change from stock to tephra. I thought that i have to change only the Fuel & Ignition Maps and all the other values from my old map doesnt change when in install tephra V7.

check your injector scaling, boost tables and boost control type in your new rom.

If you used the big map translator to go from factory rom to Tephra, you still need to dial it in. The translator is a tool to help you transition from a tuned rom to Tephra, it is be no means the perfect end all.

Secondly, there are issues sometimes when you don't carry your boost tables all the way out to the 6th gear. Even if you have a 5-speed, carry it all the way out to 6 in your tables.

Thirdly, where's your boost adder table? I bet you missed that one since it isn't in the screen shot. Remember.... BDEL/BDEP + Boost Adder = Targeted Load/Boost. I also take it your on the stock boost solenoid as well since you WGDC is maxed through the range.

My guess is you forgot the boost adder and have correction enabled, which would mean the ECU is aiming for about 10psi boost instead of the 22.3 you have in the map. With correction enabled it's killing the boost to try to keep boost that low.

That my OEM Solenoid is working on the Limit i know. I will change it around new year. Maybe at the same time with the bigger Injectors (850cc).

The Problem with the 5 or 6 speed set-up i changed now, even when i have just the 5-speed.

Your Boost Adder needs to be set at 105 (or 110 is what I had mine) if using load (psi will adjust accordingly when you change BDEL table). Adder 105 + BDEL 159 = 264 peak tapering to 255 (which you will never hit on stock solenoid).

The main one you need to look at for correction is Boost Error Correction or BEC (lower left on your ss).

You are using Direct PSI based boost control in a new ROM, that mean that you should have an external map-sensor wired to your ECU in order to use it. If you dont have one, than use load based boost control.

In the old ROM you were using Load based boost control.

I believe that may be your problem.

Biggy VIII.... one way to tell:

Lancer, post the table under the Global Boost Control 'TYPE' that says Variable for Boost Control. For load based you should have a value of 898a in it.

Regardless, Boost Adder is set to stock value.

Yep. Now look at your boost adder table from your old tuned rom and copy that value into the Tephra rom.

Now i put the boost Adder Load value of my old Map (100kPA) in my new Map. Do i have now the same Boost Value for my Tephra File i had for my old Map?

You should use Load based maps, not the KPA or PSI based.
