ecu flash won't read my ecu anymore

I've used the search many for the past three days and nothing matches my problems. 03evo running evo scan 2.9 and I've tried all the flashes from 1.42/1.4437. I'm not for sure if I accidentally deleted files some where or what but now when I open ecu flash plug in to the ports, two clicks forward, when I click read ecu it no longer has all the vehicle options for me to select from its just blank. What does this mean.

It sounds like you have an XML file conflict or missing some file in the program files directory/openecu folder.

Have you tried completely uninstalling all versions of both evoscan and ecuflash and then installing the latest version of ecuflash only which is v1.44.3719?

Once you have uninstalled and re-installed Ecuflash then plug in your the USB end of the cable only into the laptop to install the drivers. Do not plug in the OBD end of the cable into the car until the drivers are installed.

Are you using the Openport 2.0 cable? If you do the above and are using the Openport 2.0 cable then I see no reason why the vehicle selection table wouldn't show the vehicle selection list. Only other option at that point is to try another laptop to rule out an OS related issue.

definition files

sounds like you lost your definition files in C:/program files/OpenEcu/Ecuflash/rommetadata/mitsubishi/evo.

Go to that directory and see if the folder exists and if there are xml definition files in there. If not then you have to uninstall and install the program again.
