Leanspool?

I was reading Merlins tuning guide for the Evo X and got to the "fuel tuning" section. He talks about activating and deactivating the "LEANSPOOL" feature. To me,it doesn't seem like there is much explanation on what "LEANSPOOL" is or what it does. If someone can explain or point me in the right direction for knowledge of this it would be great.

THX in advance

Lean spool is a way they make the car boost faster during spool. They make the engine afr leaner during spool to aid in spool time. The lean spool enable/disable is a safety mechanism within the tune to stop overly lean spool ups after multiple accelerations. When tuning, you want to see what the afr is without having any other factors adjusting the fuel trims, so by disabling it, you stop the car from richening the afr during spool up after multiple runs
