Old ecuflash threads not displaying code/tables

So has everyone noticed that nearly all of the old threads containing important code additions, such as Mr. Fred's creations, are not displaying any of the code? This is a bit worrisome since a lot of us rely on the old threads as reference. Anyone have any idea what is up?

I was about to start one of these threads, but was worried this had been discussed already. Hope someone will chime in and give an explanation.

Well, I just checked a couple more threads. Seems like it's not just mrfred's stuff. Looks like everyone's code is gone. 03whitegsr's, tehpra, Jack of Trades...and more

Yeah I noticed this as well. Wonder if there was some sort of site update that changed how those are viewed. Or maybe xml def isn't recognized because it looks like gibberish? I don't know I'm reaching here.

Does anyone have any idea what's up with the missing xml def from all of the ecuflash threads? It's a shame if we can no longer use those threads as reference. Hopefully some of the gurus know that the core of their hard work is missing from their threads.

I'm trying to start tuning my Evo and noticed this too. This was going to be my guess, forum upgrade. Happened on a forum I used to frequent and they lost all archived info/threads

If this is true, then evom just de-valued itself tremendously, not to mention trashing many hundreds of hours code work from its many contributors.

Hi Everyone. Thanks for the heads up! I'll bring it up to IB and try to get the issue resolved ASAP!

To help us out - can a few people link specific posts with code boxes that we can take a look at?

To get us started - I think this is one good example:

For anyone having this problem it looks like you can quote the thread to pull up the "invisible" code tables for now. Thanks for your patience!

These are just a few of the threads with missing xml defs. However there are many more out there.

Actually, pretty much every thread by MrFred, Tephra, MerlinOZ with xml defs, or better yet every thread in the Important ECU thread link sticky that has xml defs in them.

looks like you can right click and select "view source" and view the code this way. A bit inconvenient, but something I can live with for the moment. The lines of code are still there, but not showing up on the browsers for some reason.

Did you hear anything back from IB?

Code:
Testing the code delimiters by inserting XML without the "<" and ">" delimiters

Request LogReference="WGDC" RequestID="86" Eval="x/2" Unit="%" Response="2" logged="Y"/
Code:
Testing the code delimiters by inserting XML with the "<" and ">" delimiters

<Request LogReference="WGDC" RequestID="86" Eval="x/2" Unit="%" Response="2" logged="Y"/>
It looks like the code delimiters are no longer working for XML!

Although inconvenient there is a way to see the code. Just quote the post and look at it in one's reply to the thread.

Yep. We're aware of this and one other workaround in another post above. Just waiting for a more permanent fix.

I was just about to ask if there was any update to the dropped text/code issue when I happened upon the notice at the top of the webpage stating what the issue is and that it should be fixed soon. Awesome!

Thank you evoM moderators and administrators for your prompt action and assistance!.
