Its probably intake reversion thru the MAF on lift-off.
Check your logs of Airflow HZ to see if you have correlation with the enrichment.
You will likely also see a short duration rise in intake air temps, which is the giveaway reversion indicator.

Hmmm did not think of that. What would you suggest to eliminate this issue? Switch to SD? Revolver cams causing this?

i do also have my intake cam advanced 5* for more vacuum. When revolvers were made there was a handful of sets machined lobe center incorrectly. Some were as bad as being 21* off. Most reported ~5* off center, but sort of irrelevant issue. Would returning to 0* help?

yup I pulled the intake back to 0. Gunna go drive the car this weekend and see what I can figure out. If anything. Recreating the issue is tough in Reno. But as soon as I get to Thunderhill it's impressively bad. Aha
Woild converting to SD be in my favor for eliminating this issue?
I hope the issue went away.
If not, try flashing a bone stock 9417 3D SD rom or a 9653 3d sd.

did you resolve the issue ?
I haven't gotten a chance to get back out on the track but it seems to be better since bringing the cam degree back to 0*. I think the issue was indeed the aggressive overlap of the cams causing intake reversion.Originally Posted by mines5

Personally I woudl have stayed with 9417. I find it a way better ROM then 9653. Originally Posted by ReidFletcher

Can you please share why you prefer 9417 over 9653 ?
There really isn't much different. I just tried it to diagnose a possible corrupt file. But I've been on 9417 for years so I just stayed with that rom.Originally Posted by mines5

All cars here are JDM, i have tried both 9417 and 9653 with different mods . On 9653 car feels lighter and throttle response is crisp. Originally Posted by ReidFletcher

BTW thanks for updating the thread , may be some one can benefit from your experience.

Im on 9417 too and no cams yet same issue. Some ppl have suggested that it could be a lighter aftermarket flywheel issue, I'm not sure what I have in my car so I can't say
I've been trying to fix this for a while now. One issue that I've fixes that made this worse was my r2d2 BOV that is still recirculated wasn't working smoothly all the time. I found water and rust inside the piston. Since I've taken it apart, cleaned it and greased it up issue is less frequent but not gone though...
