strange MAT scaling for iat scaling table issue

Today I changed my 94171715 rom to utilize the IAT sensor (sd convert IAT to MAT set to 0x03) and I changed my mat scaling for iat scaling from TempScaleFuel to TempScale.

After applying the scaling change, of course my table voltage and temp values changed, BUT here is where it gets strange:

The change doesn't take to the rom. I can save the file and close it and then re-open it and the TempScale alteration is still there.

If I CLOSE Ecuflash, re-open it, then open my rom file, the damn scaling and values are back to TempScaleFuel!

The change is also global to any other sd rom version I have. For example: I can't make one rom with mat scalings for fuel, save it and have another version utilizing IAT scaling. I can't seem to permanently save my scaling settings.

As soon as Ecuflash is closed and re-opened it defaults to TempScaleFuel settings! I've uninstalled Ecuflash and wiped my definitions folders, etc. and reinstalled everything to no avail. This was not an issue before attempting to change the mat to iat table scaling.

Thanks for replying to the thread. Please try to bear with me here. I'm not 100% sure exactly which scalings you're referring to in the definitions.

The 94170715 V7 xml, the 94171715 V7 xml as well as the Evo7base xml?

Right now the scalings for tempscale and tempscalefuel are matched with Fahrenheit conversions, etc etc. in each xml definition.

I know I'm still missing something major to the puzzle here. See my xml attachments. Something looks drastically wrong with 94171715. There is only a table for tempscalefuel in there. I've read so much and am trying to put it all together and unfortunately got lost along the way.

OP did you ever get this figured out? I'm having the same exact issue. Changing tempscalefuel to tempscale won't hold after the window is closed.

If you have windows 8 or newer you need to be logged in as administrator to make changes to your xml file. Not administrator privileges you must be logged in as administrator. If your making the change in ecu flash it will do this and fool you.

I made sure I've been in developer mode, didn't change anything. I tried again last night and for some reason it decided to hold this time. Now I'm just trying to find the right scaling for the GM IAT. The scalig doesn't change between different ROM IDs does it?

Files attached. I did find and use a scale from another thread, just not sure if it's right. Thanks for taking a look.
