Hi all! So today I finally received my Tactrix Openport 2.0. I have been reading and researching how to properly tune my car for months, but I still feel like a complete noob in regards to ECU Flash and Evoscan.

Today I tried to pull my stock ROM to begin the tuning process. From what I have found in other threads, my ROM should be 59580004 (2015 Evolution Final Edition). However, it keeps pulling up with a 52680002 ROM. I attempted to read it several times after verifying that I had setup my directories for the metadata and ROM files appropriately.

I found another thread that was experiencing this same issue with pulling the 52680002 ROM on the Evo FE's. Will there be support for this ROM to use Tephra mods and mode23, or is there a 'universal' ROM that I can switch to for better support on future tuning?

I just want to know if I should roll with this ROM (52680002), or if I should convert to a more universal ROM like 59580004? I don't want to get too deep in my tune just to find out that I need to change ROMs for better MOD supports.

Well I can verify it is 52680002.

But I dont know if that is actually the final edition rom.

 

My buddy Ryan Hunter and I have been searching around, and from what we've found the best ROM for me to roll with would be the 59580004 ROM that came in the 2013+ GSRs. It seems to have the best support with other mods.

In order to change ROMs, will I need to go redefine my definition file and long-hand convert, or can you change it out with ECU flash like was available on the 8s?

Is the XML definition sheet on Goldeneye's sight the most defined, or do we have people compiling all the definitions like we had for the 8/9's that gave some very defined rom's?

Any information on the fullest def file for the above 59580004 rom.
