Hey guys, pretty new to ECU flash so bare with me. I watched several videos and looked through the forums but cant seem to find the answer I’m looking for. I received my basemap tune w/ Flexfuel from TSComptuned in a form of a hex file. I am trying to write this into my ECU but every time I try to open the file it says ROM image not found. I have the latest ECU Flash (1.44) with Tactrix 1.3. I have all Tephramod files on my rommetadata. I was able to read my ECU and comes up with ROM 94171715. Now I was told by several guys that I needed the correct xml file. Is this correct? Does anybody have it? Tom is pretty hard to get a hold of and just want to get my car back on the road. Any help is appreciated!

 

That's not the correct rom for flexfuel and doubtful you will be able to edit Tom's map. Either use the free flexfuel rom or get a hold of Tom to send you his map but chances are it will be locked and you won't be able to edit it.

 

Thanks for the reply! Wasn’t trying to edit his files at all. I just want to write it to my ECU but its not even letting me open it. Any suggestions on doing so? And yes Ive been trying to get a hold of him for a few days now and no luck.

 

Have you tried downloading all of the known evo 8 ROM xml files on the tephra v7 thread? I would start there and keep reaching out to Tom. I know he's hard to get a hold of but he will eventually respond once he gets caught up doing whatever he's doing.
