EvoScan v0.99 - Zoomable Graphs / RealTime Alarms / Power & Torque Graphing.
31st March 2007 - EvoScan v0.99 Released.
http://www.limitless.co.nz/EvoScan The amount of work, programming, testing and EvoScan's 5,000 new lines of code since v0.97 warrants the new version v0.99, and a big special thanks to all the beta testers. Check out just some of the 100s of new features: EvoScan v0.99 -Graph Log Item Favourites Lists -Graph Templates supported -New Alert/Alarm features -1994/95 Mitsubishi FTOs supported -Saves all settings for next use. -Faster and better datalogging -International support for regional settings with different decimal representation. -Remember Microsoft .net 1.1 and .net 2.0 are two different installers. EvoScan uses .net v1.1 -Now supports Multiple FTDI USB devices in case you are using an ftdi serial adapter for wideband logging also. - EvoScan now has MultiByte logging support, which increases accuracy on Load/RPM/AirFlow(MAF) (requires an ecu rom mod, because the factory dealer scantool doesn't give that sort of accuracy out of the box) - Logs Boost PSI/Bar for those replacing the factory MDP sensor with JDM 3bar boost sensors. (only select few vehicles have boost sensor logging) - Full log graph zoom and scrolling support, horizontal and vertical zooming. Note, horizontal zooming is available only after selecting it in the right click menu. - End User customizable chart/graph templates, adjustable graph series colours. (DIY xml) - When loading logs into the graph the log is scanned for acceleration runs, and displays them in a nice list for you to pick from and automatically zooms to that section for you to analyze. It scans the log for positive acceleration for a number of seconds and displays the number of log entries in the list also - OnRoad Dyno Graphing and Logging. The Power and Torque graphs were very technical and time consuming to implement, but EvoScan has taken a shot at it, and it looks pretty good for a first version. EvoScan uses MPH/KPH from the log file to determine your current gear for power/torque calculations, if your vehicle can't log speed, then you can still manually select the gear your power run was made with. - I have gone through all the Evo 4/5/6/7/8/9 manuals and loaded all the gear ratios and weights and drag co-efficients so that the power/torque results can be more accurately determined. You can go into Vehicle settings to select your vehicle, and if you have more specific details for your vehicle weight and gear ratios you can enter these too. - DataLogging alarms have been added, and custom alarm calculations can be made with the inbuilt expression evaluator, for example you can now have an alarm go off if a value goes over or below a specified value, or a combination of criteria for your alarm, you can disable the alarm to use later, or remove it all together. The alarms are saved to the alarms.xml file when you close EvoScan for next use. - Also I have been getting a number of questions about the EvoScan USB cables that I make, the EvoScan 1.4E is a generic obdII datalogger cable and the EvoScan 1.3M is both a datalogger and is capable of reflashing mistubishi ecus. EvoScan 1.4E USB OBDII DataLogger Cable High quality and high performance datalogger cable, capable of extreme high speeds. Perfect for EvoScan, and supports all OBDII vehicles, mitsulogger, and all openport software. Specifically supports ALL Mitsubishi vehicles for datalogging - includes Pin1 grounded for full Mitsubishi diagnostic support. This is a perfect datalogger cable where no ecu reprogramming is required (ecu reprogramming is currently only available for Mitsubishi Evos 7/8/9) http://www.limitless.co.nz/Cables/ EvoScan 1.3M USB OBDII Datalogger & ECUFlash Reprogramming Cable High quality and high performance datalogger cable, capable of extreme high speeds. Perfect for EvoScan, EcuFlash, and supports all OBDII vehicles, mitsulogger, and all openport software. Specifically supports ALL Mitsubishi vehicles for datalogging - includes Pin1 grounded for full Mitsubishi diagnostic and datalogger support. and allows reprogramming of Mitsubishi Evo5/6/7/8/9 factory ecus via EcuFlash and the included white reflash connector. http://www.limitless.co.nz/Cables/ Any feedback on this new version of EvoScan v0.99, please email mailto:evoscan@limitless.co.nz. Thanks for your support, Hamish. http://www.limitless.co.nz/EvoScan http://www.limitless.co.nz/Cables |
Haha all this editing for me today
|
Woot, time to break out the tuning box ;)
I dont suppose there is an online bug tracking tool created? Thanks! |
Just checking to make sure you can trigger it to datalog at WOT??
Thanks for what you are doing for the community. |
Can evoscan log boost & egt from the Zeitronix ZT-2 yet?

Everything looks great so far.

You made me eat my words. Good for you.
I just sent along another $25.00 as I did say publicly I'd pay for good upgrades. Good work. |
Definitely DL'ing it tomorrow!!!!
|
Can you elaborate on this more:
"EvoScan now has MultiByte logging support, which increases accuracy on Load/RPM/AirFlow(MAF) (requires an ecu rom mod, because the factory dealer scantool doesn't give that sort of accuracy out of the box)" The 2byte load address does not coincide with the one JCSBanks posted previously... |
evo4mad, OMG.. you have out done yourself this time!!! Great JOB!!!!
|
Looks great! I noticed you disabled the real time map tracer vs. the beta .99 version though... still some bugs that need to be worked out I would guess.
On another note, where can I get this... http://home.comcast.net/~keenerw/EvoTune/EvoGauge.jpg ... gauge layout as shown on the EvoScan website? Evo4Mad? Yes, I know I could build it myself... but I'm just THAT lazy. :D |
So are current users going to get a e-mail for this? How do we download it?
