openport 2.0 SD flash card logging?

when is the logging to flash card going to happen with the openport 2.0?
I thought this was one of the features that was going to be available?

Maybe after few years, or maybe not:lol: It's not the first thread about sd card logging;)

The Tactrix site now lists "logging to microSD" as a feature that is now working (http://www.tactrix.com/product_info.php?products_id=49).

- Has anyone else tried this and confirmed logging to microSD is working?

If so:
- what is the max capacity microSD supported?
- how long will logging to microSD run before a 2GB card is full?
- is it possible to log to microSD all the same parameters that EvoScan can log, or are there some limitations?

tephra Oct 19, 2009 11:29 PM

yes its working on my car.

i have an 8GB MicroSDHC card in there

log is about 1.5mb for 30min drive, same as evoscan really

same parameters as evoscan

You will want to read that.

Tephra, thanks for the info.

MattS00, thanks for the link to the OpenPort logging thread.

Does anyone know if there is a way to log boost & wideband AFR to the OpenPort 2.0 microSD card on an Evo IX if possible e.g. by using a JDM MAP sensor, and connecting my Zeitronix wideband AFR output to a spare ECU pin or something? I am currently using a Zeitronix ZT-2 with additional boost & EGT sensors, imported into EvoScan, and would like to retain those parameters in log files I log using a microSD card, if possible.

Also:
- which bus system, e.g. CAN / K-line etc., does the Evo IX use?
- what is the max OpenPort 2.0 logging speed of the bus system that the Evo IX uses?
- what is the max number of Priority 1 level params that the OpenPort 2.0 microSD can log simultaneously?

Thanks.

apparently the OP20 now can log the LC1 serial thingy

Kline

fast enough

as many as you want, slower with more items thou

Finally, I'm going to the store now for some microSD card.

My question would be: how can I set parameters to triger the log? Is it possible to set up RPM, TPS, etc. to initialize logging?:)

tephra Oct 20, 2009 03:13 AM

yes apparently u can.

i haven't tried :)

It's detailed in the thread MattS00 posted above. You do it by configuring your start and stop trigger params in the logcfg.txt file in the root folder of your microSD card.

You could check out the sample code block in this post for an example: http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic....art=105#p22122

Note: I am guessing you may have to edit the example to match the different RAM addresses & paramIDs used by your car?

It would be nice if someone who has tested this on an Evo VIII / Evo IX could post up their logcfg.txt as an example.

Note 2: make sure you update the firmware inside your OP 2.0 device as detailed in the very first post of the thread MattS00 posted to make sure you are running the latest & greatest firmware.

If you are going to buy a card, buy it online. The prices they charge in retail stores is rape...
