Still Can't Read or Write ECU
 

i still can't read or write onto my ECU. here's what i tried so far.

Battery/Voltage: I fully charged my battery and tried to read/write my ECU. no luck.

Software/Cable: I tried using my laptop and cable on a friend's Evo and it worked which obviously means that the software and cable are functioning properly.

ECU: I bought a new ECU the today and installed it on my car, but it still won't let me read/write anything.

Init Port (White Connector): how many wires should the white connector have? i noticed that the connector in the car has one wire/one pin on it, while the plug on the cable itself has three wires on it. is that normal?

does anyone have any other ideas? am i overlooking anything? i'm stressing out right now.

Try ecu unlocker software, although I would have thought changing ecu would have fixed the problem.

Has it worked before, or have you never tried doing a read/write?

i forgot to add that i've tried ECU Unlocker already. i believe i found my problem though. i'll let you guys know if i fix it.

fixed it. fuse #8 under the hood kept blowing.
