Perrin intake and filter

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, not sure this is the right section

I fitted a Perrin intake and pod filter kit to my JDM Evo 8 FQ300, supplied kindly from a trader on this forum

See below for results! I was very impressed with this kit, no tweaking has been done to my previous map, AFRs are still in check. The extra mid range torque is very noticeable!

Test done on same piece of road and same conditions on the same day

Std engine
Greddy intercooler kit incl upper and lower intercooler pipes
23 psi via Gizzmo MSIBC
3" Exhaust
Walbro pump
New Zealand 95 octane gas which is equivalent to 91 octane US fuel

nice gains!

thats some good gains with just a filter, but also, thats a good gain from stock after looking at my graph lol..

im tuning tomorrow so it'll be interesting to see how close i can get to you

did you change the intake pipe as well or just the filter?

intake pipe as well

Instead of creating a new thread, I figured I would ask here.

At what point will intake mods require you to change the maf scaling? Is it something that is different between vehicles, or is it as simple as changing the intake pipe will require you to rescale?

Or am I just way off?

Thanks all.

Looks like a nice gain for a pipe and filter.

The PERRIN intake will never require MAF scaling. It is the BEST intake for MAF applicaitons.
