xml for 1998 RVR x3 4g63t

I'm looking for an xml for a 1998 RVR Sport Gear x3.
Is there tutorial's to create one from scratch using IDA or a hex editor or something? I don't mind paying for one, but I also don't mind learning ECUID MD352554 ROMID 21000012 (asuming it is stored in the same location as the e5/6 rom offset address) link to my findings thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ot...cu-tuning.html |
is the file you attached .srf?
|
Yes it is, does it need to be a bin? as I see it seems to convert freely with ecuflash I did not think that would matter.

i've used the evo5base.xml without any issues with the .hex file i attached.
but only for the engine part of tuning; the AT part is undefined. i've only needed to tune the fuel and timing maps, and the MAF settings when i changed the stock MAF to an Evo8 MAF. |
I cant open either your or my rom with the evo5base.xml in ecuflash none of the meta data shows up.
what version of ecu flash are you using or what software are you using ? |
|
ok my version i downoaded from the evoscan site is way outdated i will try again
|
I can open it now but it lacks many maps compared to many cars also your rom id is different to mine what is the code on the cover of your ecu ?
|
as i said, i only tuned the fuel, timing and MAF maps.
i had no intention for it to be an evo 5 engine wrapped in an rvr body. my ecu is a black box MD352553 for an rvr n73w. |
here's your rom using the evo5base.xml...
nothing much... https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...075d6e1de4.png |
i have pickedd up a td05 manifold injectors and was planning to tune it up to the settings for the stock evo 5 but with out a few more of the map tables an ecu swap is the only plan.
have you dumped the auto rom using the other pin on the flash connector? |

but the data is mostly on off data and cant be validated like a map to at least be logical. if you forced tables and started tuning with that xml likely you have just written random data in arbitrary memory locations into invalid tables. When I forced the tables i just got gibberish non logical data. Have you created your own xml from disassembly of the rom or used the provided evo5base xml as default? |
i can open the fuel, timing and other maps on my hex and xml...
As i've said, i've 'light-tuned' my rvr x3 using these two files. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...16598485b5.png |
Something does not add up the evo5base.xml does not have any tables defined with addresses but your snapshot shows the octane map at location 11f7b none of the evo5 or 6 use that address in the rom.
Can you send me your xml? |
what maps do you need?
my xml's way too incomplete for you, maybe... but just right for me ;) |
