Interesting. Perhaps this will allow us to shed some light on the "closed loop fueling tables" Al was referring to.

Its just the portion of the fuel table where the car operates in closed loop.. The closer you can get to stoich the less it has to adjust.. Just like anything else, you rough it in with the Scaling and Latency setting, then fine tune it with the fuel map.

FWIW There is really nothing unique about the locked ECU's roms.. Their just mitsubishi roms..

Some of the roms out there, european for the most part, are considered "Locked" because ECUFlash itself won't download the roms off them.. ECUTek is one, but there were others I had come across.

The information itself has been out there for some time, but the method was something that was elusive for awhile, turns out it was easier than I thought after I observed how the program would attempt to download roms from different cars.

I'm a little concerned about the repercussions this can have in the community..

There is big difference between what I would call "undefined" stock ecus as the ones from Europe which apparently do not allowiong editgomg access with Ecu Flash on the one hand

and

ECUTEK programed ecus with a ECUTEK license installed on the other

Ecutek ecus are "locked" meaning that only Ecutek dealers have the capacity to download those roms
