Are my logs and power OK for my mods?

How does this log and power curve looks for my mods? Is it OK? Mods in signature. Is threre a way to increase torque without having to increase boost? I try to add timing but more timing causes knock. Here is a plot of a 3rd gear pull and the VDR plot. I went to a dynojet last week and it also gave me 347 awhp. This is on pump 93. Am I maxed out on pump fo my mods? I have seen so many high numbers that I don’t know what to think about my numbers.

You finally got the cams! How you like them? Anyways, you could increase your AFR from 3k to 4k rpm to 12.6 that is going to help your spool up. Maybe you already tried this but you could inclrease timing from 5k to 6.5k rpm a couple of degres, make the incease smoth. Also I see a boost drop from 4.5k to 5.5k, try fixing that. I think you could make at least 10hp more and icrease your WTQ, but in all your hp curbe looks good.

Yes I finally got them. They are fine but a little too aggressive for my taste and mods. I could have done the S1 with the turbo I have but now it’s too late. They are not bad but not very smooth either especially when cold. They are very lumpy.

More timing from 5K to 6.5K causes knock. I have tried that. Boost drop is from the boost correction kicking up on the ECU. I am tuned for 24 and if boost goes higher error correction drops it then it goes back up. It does not happen all the time, most of the time it is fine. I guess I can still lean it out a bit during spooling.

power seems low, the VDR is set to dynojet or Evo-m comparator?

try smoothing your timing a bit, i bet you can push some more after...

after that tune looks decent, may want to get boost dialed in better.... you can get more TQ by spiking boost to around 27psi early on and let it taper to redline it will also let you hold more boost along the rpm.

3 things:

1. Don't be at 12.6:1 afr at 4 k, if you're using meth or something along those lines then maybe. 4k rpm is where peak torque usually hits, bad things can happen around this area. Tune smart, maybe 2500-3500 lean out fuel, after that increase tiiming and fuel accordingly.

2. Smooth out timing and fuel maps. This will help with phantom knock and smoother power

3. Don't spike 27 psi just because. You can run your car at 13:1 afr and make 20-30hp more, will it be safe or smart? No. Tuning is about trial and error, you need to take baby steps. If your car is knocking at a certain point then you may have met your thrshold with the provided mods. Either add more more mods to help the combustion process or revise your tuning approach.

One additional thing, boost leak test. This is almost as important as an oil change. Religiously check for leaks. I love reading where people state that they found zero leaks, highly doubt it.

Goodluck.

Right now I am at 10.8~10.9 at peak load (around 4~4.2K RPMs. I know peak loads need fuel to combat detonation. Thats why it is at high 10 low 11 AFR.

Did you look at the log plot. I think my timing is preety smooth what do you think? It can be seenat the plot.

I try not to spike by design. I am targeting 24 psi and try to get no spike. Sometimes that is not possible and I use error correction to try to keep it under 25 at the most.

I might need more mods. specially on the intake. Maybe its time for a boost leak test. I am currently using the load as an indicator of boost leak.

10.8-.9 is pretty rich, are you on 91oct or something? Definitely do the boost leak test for actual results.

Also I was referring to your ecu flash timing tables not your logs. When you get the tables smooth your logs should and will be smooth by default.

You can run leaner on 93. You running AFRs we run with 91.

Also, def do a boost leak test. That the first thing anyone should do before tuning any EVO (or boosted car for that matter)

Did this do 347 with the default Dynojet setting or did you need to change it to match the dynojet you were on? Just curious how well the Dynojet Simulation is dialed in.
