Patch: 96530006 V7 tephra stationary rev limit does not work

hia,

stationary rev limit does not work on 8MR when using the 9653 based V7 roms... so i made a small hack. apparently it also does not work when using a E6 running a 7 ecu. so i figure i might as well share it you guys.

on my limited testing the launch maps do not activate on the 8MR but they did on the E7 ecu. hence lot of flames and boost

just remember use at your own risk and if things break dont tell me. check to make sure it works on your car.

SOLUTION:
ok add this to your xml in ecuflash. then set all boxes as 0009 except the last one which will say C801 change that to 3AB6. It works on my car

<table name="code chg srev test" category="Limits" address="129c0" type="2D" level="1" scaling="Hex16">
<table name="code all 0009 except last which should be 3ab6" type="Static X Axis" elements="13">
<data>3ab6</data>
<data>8b03</data>
<data>da37</data>
<data>6aa1</data>
<data>db37</data>
<data>2ba1</data>
<data>da36</data>
<data>6aa1</data>
<data>2aa8</data>
<data>8b11</data>
<data>d035</data>
<data>6001</data>
<data>c801</data>
</table>
</table>

You have a lot of addresses there. What else will this affect?

the sub for stationary rev limit does 2 extra compares in 9653... does not do them in 9626.. so i just noop the code, those addresses are what is there already, incase if ppl ever want to change back they got original reference.

Anyone else try this. I wld love to stationary rev limit working again. Does this also help with NLTS not activating? I haven't been able to get either to work on any of the v7 ROMS.

ok attaching the disassembly on the top is the stat rev sub from 9653 and on the bottom is the stat rev sub from 9626.
its quite obvious that the 9653 is bigger and does a few more tests, from a quick look around i didnt know what they meant. i mean if it is a prephary bit then so be it, i had a short chat with tephra but he was busy with other things, and he reconed that my idea of just noop them would be fine seeing it was just tests to go do the stop or let it rev out.

the xml code i put up, basically has the stock values in there incase someone decides they want to go back. In my instructions i ask people to change all the lines of code to noop (0x0009) and move the test from first line (0x3ab6) to the last line. It works on my car. and a couple others i cannot guarentee that it will work with all cars, or is even necessary. if a prephary bit is found that enables or disables stationary rev limiter then this fix is obsolete. but till then i am confidant that it will not blow up any ones car.

now if u want a technical reason as to what the code did.... currently i have for, if and then and heck a lot of datagridview in my mind

Add that chunk inside your 96530706.xml file. Probably at the end of the file, just before the </rom> line.
