Ok been doing some tuning and testing with a friend and we were testing the ICS to allow alternate maps switching on my evo 4 with the evo 7 ecu but we seems to not be able to toggle from the high octane fuel map and the alternate fuel maps. I made the change in the tephra mods options section that says to:

FLASH ICS WHEN ON ALTERNATE MAPS? 1
ENABLE ALTERNATE MAPS MASTER? ADCOF=1, AUTOICS=2 2


And if i am not mistaken that i have to hold the ICS button for 2 seconds and release and i will see the ICS light on the dashboard blinking but i am not seeing any indication that its enabled. Is there something i am doing wrong or my evo 4 can't do map switching? Any of you e4 guys ever got this to work?

Does the sprayer light come on when you turn the sprayer on auto? Maybe the button isn't hooked up. Im not sure on the 2 seconds, I usually just hold it for a few seconds until it switches.

If you have fitted a E7 ecu into a E4 you will need a patch harness to allow you to alternate maps

It can only be done with the ics button on E7-9

Can you not switch maps with the TPS hold thing on Tephra 5?

Not to reserect this thread, but I am also wondering just how to enable the ALT Maps via TPS or via any meens at all. Can someone pointme to a thread that has this info, on how to use the ALT Maps? Would really appreciate it, oh, and I did search far and wide for such a thread already. I am sure there is one on here though. Thanks again.

enable alt maps set = 3 for TPS (for tephra v7.. i don't use anything but v7 if i have a choice)

turn key to on position....... hold throttle to floor and check engine light blinks fast (lets you know its in alt map)

do it again, if it blinks slow = primary map.. its that simple

every time you flash the car it will revert back to primary map usually.. keep that in mind.

Thank you Tscompusa, what if I have my valet mode also utilizing the TPS trigger? I know for valet mode the car has to be off meening in accessorie mode, but engine not running.

Does one of the ALT map triggers allow for running motor?
If I hold the TPS while running I will hit rev limiter...

Does the TPS have to read 100% when activating alt. maps via Tephra mods? The BBK throttle body I am using only reads 93% at WOT.

Not trying to high jack a thread just didn't want to start another TPS/alt maps thread.

yes for a certain amount of time it must read 100% under a certain load to switch to alt map. once done the cel will blink indicating its switched.

isnt that TPS threshld adjustable somehow ? as mine can't read 100% also, only 97-98

tps has a coil in it, you need to loosen the screws and turn it while logging evoscan and make it read 100%.

97/98 should be ok , valet mode on mine works fine at 96%
