tuning accel enrich

is everyone tuning their accel enrich or just mapping over the top of it.

if you are, is it a straightforward procedure?

Never touched it but it would be nice to get some tuning tips for it.

Asynch_Acell_Enrichment <---------?This one?
Asynch_VS_TPSDELTA
Asynch_TPS(Rpm) Limit

From my understanding the "Accel enrich base vs engine temp" table is the initial rich tip adder when you mash the gas to accelerate.

I could be wrong though.

Wondering about this the other day, never got around to posting a thread about it though. If anyone with experience in tuning this can chime in that would be awesome. Definitely subscribed.

Yeah, i have always heard it referred to as "Tip-in" Basically the amount of air, TPS, is changing rapidly, the MAF can't keep up so the ECU throws some volume of gas to compensate. Stock values should all be designed around the oem intake/exhaust though. Altering incoming or outgoing air will throw off AFRs during this point. I rarely have seen these touched though.

Accel enrich

I messed with it today. I was having knock issues at 2100rpm to 4300rpm no matter how much timing i pulled. I looked at the logs and the afr was good and so was the timing. So i decided that it must have been a tip in problem some how. It only happened under 105 load. It started from 58 load to 105 load. I changed it from 2000rpm to 4500rpm and it took care of the low load knock. Hope this helps shining a new light.

Hmmm... another way to solve VIII tip in knock. Good job!

What were your final values???

so you added "tip in" to the closed loop ramp up?

before this thread drops into the ash bin of byte history,
asking again if anyone has some input.

are you adjusting the enrichment during accel or are you ignoring it?

seems to me there are situations where you would hit the same load cell under acceleration and under sustained load. if you had, as I, tuned the map without thinking of the accel add, you would be fairly lean when hitting that "tuned" cell while climbing a hill or... when the accel enrichment wasn't in the mix.

I guess if the accel is set correct there wouldn't be a problem, tune for wot the ~ accel covers it / hit a long hill the accel is gone but the need for the extra dose is gone too. I dont no

To tune the accel enrich you need to log throttle tip in over, and over, and over again. Then based on your log you can lean or richen tip in for best response.

In my case I found that I had to lean it a little at the warmest temps but when cold it is fine.

Every car is different.

Assuming we are talking about the same table I still do not have a clear understanding of what the 0-8 values on the left represent and what the values on the right represent. For "Asynch_VS_TPSDELTA " which is I think what we are taking about I have the following:

0----8
1----8
2----10
3----13
4----15
5----17
6----19
7----21
8----26

The left column is RPM /TPS sensor related? The right column? Any insight would appreciated.

"Asynch_Acell_Enrichment" is the first table in the screen shot on the left and any insights to those values would be appreciated as well, although not what we are talking about here... Right?

This is from hopefully the latest V7 xml. Let me know if its f'd up.

No ....not the Async table.

I am talking about the "Accel enrich base vs engine temp" table
