Non-working Evoscan AYC/ACD/ABS datalogging

Hi All,

Before anybody suggests the EcuFlash helpdesk, we have already done that.

We cannot connect to the AYC ECU (code: 6201), or when we connect, we get a stucked reading of 255 km/h, 100 % Throttle position etc.

ACD connects, but data is not changing or when it does it shows undefinable data.

ABS cannot be connected at all. (code: B063)

Non of the "Actuator"-s work.

Using 1.3U cable. We have Evoscan 2.6 and also 2.7 Beta-s.

Non of them work.

EFI is OK, so no issues there so far.

Please guys, you are the last hope, because we have been screwing with this software for almost a year now.

Cheers,

R.

Hello,

Evoscan is working for sure with transmission ecus (either with AYC or without AYC) but from my testing, only on the bench so far. In ordet to make it work in the car, what everyone is waiting, you will need to make some electrical modifications, to route another wire.

If you can wait a little, i will make a tutorial

Thanks in advance Sabin!

We would love to see this work, because so far we had only the pain of trying.

Also forgot to mention Pin 9 was removed etc.

Cheers,

R.

Hi Mate,

Could you elaborate on your setup (OS, Notebook, Cars etc.)?

We have tested everything with a 2.0 cable as well, we have had the same result.

Also told helpdesk (Hamish) that if he could send us a video on YouTube or a detailed "instruction manual", because we might do something wrong. It drives everybody crazy, why a hell this thing will not work.

Cheers,

R.

Hi Mate,

Thanks for your response.

It is possible that our main issue is because we have Win XP?

We had the AYC working on an EVO 6 once, but never again.
Do you have the ABS working?

I must mention that we have access to EVO 7/8/9/10 only a handful of EVO 6 around here and the others are present in even less numbers.

Do you have a chance to check on an EVO 7 and above?

I really appreciate your responses, we might actually get somewhere after a year of struggle...

Cheers,

R.

Ok, today i made some tests specially to tell you.
It is a little tricky, but you can do it.

First of all, i logged only ACD ecus from 7/8/9. I have a ACD ecu from a 6 but it is way different. So my infos are only for MNxxxxxx type of ACD.

It is working only with OP 1.3. and EvoScan (a beta version i cannot tell you the exact name because is it not specifically written)

Then, if you use EcuFlash 1.43.3000 on the same pc, you have to delete op20pt32.dll from EvoScan's folder.

Then you have to select OP1.3 - MUT III - ACD.

But in order to work, you have to connect between your OP1.3 and ACD ECU L-line.
Look in my attachement. L-line in the normal car doesn't go from the OBD plug to ACD ECU, so you have to put it there.

Good luck!

PS: Do you have any ACD ECU from a Evo X?

Sorry for our ignorance, could you please tell me what is what on the drawing?
Also, please explain, which car is it for?
Because according to our knowledge, the L-line in the 7/8/9 is connected to the ACD to the OBD pin #7.

Also, did you have any luck with the AYC?

We have deleted the above mentioned file from the EcuFlash folder, because I could not find it in the EvoScan folder. Also found it in Windows System folder. Should we delete it from there too?

Still thanks for everything.

Cheers,

R.

Green is K-line, yellow is L-line, blue you don't need for logging.

You have to check again because i know it is something different into the mitsubishi wiring but i don't have my manuals to check.

You need to have the green and yellow wire as in my picture. The obd port in my picture is like you look into your OP plug.

pin7 is called K-Line.
pin15 is also L-Line. (If you have purchased your OpenPort cable from EvoScan (limitless) then pin 1 is also connected to L-line)

from what I was aware I thought in the evo7/8/9 vehicles that OBDII pin1 was L Line already connected to ecupin yellow(on your ECU pin diagram).

It looks like the formula for g-forces calculations should be corrected, most likely the number needs to be divided by 2.5 and the result should be subtracted from 1. So the formula in the .xml should be "1-x/128" instead of "2.5*x/128"

in such case the forces will look quite reasonable both in terms of patterns and values

thanks vd, did you determine this from looking inside the assembly code of the evo AYC/ACD rom? or is it based off other known g-force calculations from another vehicle rom?
