This table should help you out.

So, I got me a "-3 PSI" spring appropriately colored bright pink. Works great, seems to hold 25+ PSI and the lift off flutter is now completely gone. Night and day difference in drivability going from the -8 and -10 PSI springs.

Thanks for the tip

deej1, I am not completely sure what this table does. I could not find a description in Merlin's guide. I did however try your values (my default was straight 100's). Combined with judicial WGDC settings and lowering the WGDC 100% below "X" load the "surge" is now gone. pulls nicely through the gears.

So combination of softer BOV spring and a less aggressive boost profile and this little HKS turbo is a blast! Thanks for the help.

I just recently switched to a GTX30 and with the stock BOV crushed (Evo X) I had perfect drivability. When I switched over to the Tial QR BOV it appears that the 10 psi spring is too stiff for daily driving part throttle boost. Car bucks on throttle close and flutters at 10-20 psi at partial throttle. Go WOT and all is well.

I guess I'm ordering a lower 6 psi rated spring to see if I can make the car livable again!
