throttle tip-in and timing

in V7's peryphery bits there is "timinig knock down at throttle tip in"

can someone explain this function and tell me should it be on or off ?

currently I have it on, and experiencing some knock counts at sharp throttle tip-in and part throttle acceleration. can it be the reason ?

there is incorrect name in my first post, there should be "timing knock down at light throttle and under 3000 rpm"
it's somewhere in FAA bits if I remember correctly

Oh, turn that off for sure. Every time I've had a cruise problem that was what was suggested. It never was my problem but its elimination.

I am also having spool up knock time-to-time, very interested in knowing what this FAA bit 10 actually does.

I did search for more info, but haven't not been successful yet.

Hopefully ECU gurus can chime in here.

For those with a problem.... you should post up your timing map.... maybe its a simple setting issue.
