Thanks for the information.

So just to be clear. I can purchase this, and with a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable and a laptop, I can pull a ROM from all current generation USDM Mazdaspeed 3/6 ecus and save the ROM file?

I can also flash it back as well? USDM? All current USDM generations?

If the ECU is Mitsubishi Corp - yes.
If the ECU is a denso 7058 - yes.
If the ECU is a denso 7055 - no.

when you say "ECU filled vs not filled" does this mean potted with black epoxy type material or something else?
Yes, this means potted with black epoxy type material.

Is it possibly to recover from any failed reflash using mmcflash?
Yes, it is possible to restore any ECU, even after the ECU is filled with a whole bunch of FFFFFF's

The documentation on how to restore each type of ECU can be given individually, after you provide a photo of the specific ECU circuit board.

Do you have a photo of the ecu chip inside the ecu case? I'm sure its most likely already supported by mmcflash for read/write. If you purchase mmcflash and even after you try it out, you can't make it work, hopefully you can do without the ecu for a few weeks and send it to me so that we can see if its the way you are wiring it up, or we can ensure support for that particular variant of ecu - guaranteed or your money back.

at the moment openport 2.0 can support the widest range of all ecu variants, so for hard to read/write ecus use the op2 cable even though its a bit more expensive than the openport 1.3U.

Got any pictures? I'm sure Dave at RPW in Australia is already using mmcflash with Outlander turbo and colt czt ecus. He also was building some xmls for it. Perhaps you can work in with him on that one?

Good news, I must speak with Dave to see if the mmcflash works with the Triton.

My processor is an MH8302F and as far as I am aware same as the Eclipse GT.

It will be worth buying the mmcflash as EcuFlash or Evoscan will not communicate with my ECU....

I have been using the MMC Flasher now for a while and it has been a great investment for us. We have opened up a whole new range of mitsubishi vehicles.

I have been doing Pajeros, Triton and Challenger 4wd models that we couldn't with the Ecuflash.

Looking forward to expanding into a greater range of vehicles.

Like anything, as the number of vehicle models are expanding, greater emphasis on creating xml's will be required, as there won't be the community focus that the evo's have had.

Yes Mitsiman that will be the next hurdle to overcome, I have a couple of contacts who are willing to help with my Triton xml.

Only one in Australia though so it may be interesting to compare the tunes, given the different fuels available around the world......

VGergo please don't post information on this thread, it could be misleading, you make it sound like the Outlander Turbo has MH8302F, but you really meant you tried to make MH8202F work under MH8302F option in mmcflash, which of course was not designed for MH8202F.

For others.. yes MMCflash supports MH8302F currently.

For others... yes Outlander Turbo is MH8202F

MMCFlash support for Outlander turbo (MH8202F) is coming soon. PM me if you have a spare MH8202F ecu you can loan me for 4 weeks to make it work.

MMCFlash already supports the following ecus and more...
MH8301F
MH8302F
MH8303F
MH8304F
