Talking 2011+ Brake Boost - Solved

Hi All,

So after a couple of really full-on weeks of wading through the DBW code and with the massive help of itzwolf we have finally found how the fix the brake boost on 2011+'s:

59580004:
Code:
<table name="Brake Boost Minimum App (0x010A -> 0x0400)" category="Misc" address="54C4C" type="1D" scaling="Hex16"/>
btw - If you send donations for this find, please let me know its for BrakeBoost as I intend to split any donations with itzwolf as he spent some serious time in the car logging and testing for it

Regards
David

Thank you David for staying on the hunt for this!

I have tested this quite a bit now and have performed a brake boost scenario for about 15 seconds just to ensure it wont engage.

Code for other ROM's:

56890009/10/13:
Code:
  <table name="Brake Boost Minimum App (0x010A -> 0x0400)" category="Misc" address="54C26" type="1D" scaling="Hex16"/>
58010005 (Same as 59580004):
Code:
  <table name="Brake Boost Minimum App (0x010A -> 0x0400)" category="Misc" address="54C4C" type="1D" scaling="Hex16"/>

I will donate a gracious amount if you are able to figure out the dual map switching on the 2011 rom using the cruise control! But in all seriousness, terrific work you guys. The amount of time you guys sacrifice for the people on this board is undoubtedly the nicest gesture. Once my tuner uses this to solve my brake boost issue, I will surely donate towards your cause. Thanks again!

Question

I have a 56890009 rom. Just want to verify that i change the 010A value to 0400 to turn off this annoying "accel cut" when brake boosting. Is this correct?

Correct.

What this patch does is set the APP minimum value above what can be reached effectively making the condition never get met and thus never engage the TPS cut.
