ECU Part # & ROMID
Hi There,
I have a rare rom ID 54060014 and I have been waiting for a while that Tephra create his mod for my Rom but it's been a while since this was brought up and nothing was done yet. I'm now considering buying another ECU since they are not to expensive. My question is, is there a way from the part# or something like that to know what the ROMID/Familly will be in ? Is there a way without reading the ECU to know what i'm getting ?
Thank's !

What a mix... If your current ROM is an EDM, just try 56910009 or 53040010 and check if you get any error codes/lights. Do you have your ROM in stock form? I don't recall seeing such ID, perhaps it was changed by your tuner?

Yeah I know it's a complete mix ehe. Actually the ROMID 54060014, was an ''update'' from the dealer. My tuner rom ID was 54060008. I allready tried to flash and Bench flash the 53040010 but it would no complete on the 2nd pass for the ''normal'' flash (non-recovery)

Part number for 53040010 should be 1860A981. If found this definitions somewhere, if you can find the desired ROM hex file, you can discover it's hardware P/N #:
But I still think you should be able to write any ROM to your ECU.
Code:
<scaling name="CaseAlphaNumeric" storagetype="bloblist" storagebits="8"> <data name="MB" value="10"/> <data name="MD" value="20"/> <data name="MR" value="30"/> <data name="MN" value="60"/> <data name="1860" value="80"/> <data name="A" value="41"/> <data name="B" value="42"/> <data name="C" value="43"/> <data name="D" value="44"/> <data name="E" value="45"/> <data name="F" value="46"/> <data name="0" value="30"/> <data name="1" value="31"/> <data name="2" value="32"/> <data name="3" value="33"/> <data name="4" value="34"/> <data name="5" value="35"/> <data name="6" value="36"/> <data name="7" value="37"/> <data name="8" value="38"/> <data name="9" value="39"/> </scaling> <table name="ECU Case ID" category="ECU ID" address="50042" type="3D" scaling="CaseAlphaNumeric"> <table name="Part Number" type="Static X Axis" elements="3"> <data>PN1 .</data> <data>PN2 .</data> <data>PN3 .</data> </table> <table name="PN4" address="50045" type="Y Axis" elements="1" scaling="Hex8"/> </table>
