Looking for an xml definition file for 55580010 for 2010 SE

I'm looking for the ROM definition file that goes along with my ROM. The ID is 55580010 which seems to be specific to the 2010 USDM Special Edition. I've read a few threads from people looking for the definition in the past, but it doesn't appear that a definition ever showed up. The most recent thread was a few years ago and I was wondering if there is a definition for this ROM yet. If there isn't one, would it be safe to use 55580006 from the MR? Have any Special Edition owners tried this and did any problems arise?

I appreciate any help or advice.

From what I've read and heard, the SE is cost-oriented MR. I would think the 55580009_2010_USDM_SST would be the closest match without editing the two to compare.

I'd be willing to give 55580009 a try but I haven't been able to find the definitions for that one either. Probably need it too since I would guess that 55580010 inherits from 55580009, much like 55580006 inherits from 55580005. Does anybody have either 55580009 or 55580010?

Oh man, I see the ROM file is out there but the definition XML is not. Good luck with the hunt!

Do I need the definitions to flash my ROM back onto my ECU? I read my stock ROM off my ECU and I want to patch it with REX fast logging. I want to have a backup of the stock ROM so I can put it back on the ECU if I need to. I'm not really interested in modifying it, I just want to be able to flash it back on should the need arise. Do I need the definitions file to do this? If I don't need it, then I'll probably stop looking for it and put on a REX patched 55580006. It seems like that would work fine for my purposes. What do you think?

I went the extra mile and made a definition file for 55580010. Going off of the way 55580006 was inherited from 55580005, I made a definition for 55580009 and inherited 55580010 off of it. Comparing 55580010 (2010 SE) to 55580006 (2010 MR), there are some differences in the MUT table. 21 differences to be exact. I'm not quite sure what these differences would mean. My understanding is that the MUT table instructs where different information can be read from the ECU memory, so having incorrect MUT table entries could result in some really erroneous readings. I don't know where a map can be found of what exactly each address in this table should map to, but if anyone knows where such a map could be found, I'd love to take a look at that.

The other difference that I found was in the SST Torque Limit tables. Apparently on the SE, they raised the torque limit by 9 ft/lbs almost across the board. Comparison of the MR vs SE below. This was actually introduced in the later image as the first one 55580009 matched the 55580005 and 55580006 exactly. So getting the latest ROM if you have a EVO X SE should give you an extra 9 foot/lbs. All of us with stock tunings of the 200 or so USDM special editions.. If anyone is interested in the definitions, let me know and I can post them. Also, if any of the other others of the definitions have the time to double check my work, I'd appreciate that. I have no tuning experience or prior experience with writing definitions. I just know my way around a hex editor and had some time.

That's not how that table works.

How does it work? Trying to learn as much as I can about this. Are there any good threads that discuss each table?

Did you upload the definition files somewhere? I'd like to take a look. I haven't been able to find anything for 55580009 or 555580010.

PM sent with the link. I'm planning to test out the definition this weekend by flashing it back onto my car. I'll share it out publicly if everything goes well.

Thank you! I'll start poking through it to see... I'm trying to understand my Evo X more and seeing the differences between the other roms - and even vs the Evo 8.
