30R .63 backside

Tuned at (DG Motors) pump gas 22psi. add 50whp to your nearest dynojet.

This was also the break in tune on the new motor.

gt30r
aem ems
full bolton

seems super laggy for a .63.. did you log boost?
i ran a 30r on my a4 1.8t and had full boost by 4200. I'd say something's up.

I can not remember why it was so laggy. To be honest, I believe the turbo was going out and had something to do with it.

It was only 22 psi because we were breaking in a brand new motor and that was the customer's preference.

The pulls were also done in 4th gear with relatively no timing to be extra safe. That and the turbo going out could have had something to do with it.

well, there's two weird things here..
making pretty high numbers for such low boost, and then being laggier than an .82 hotside 30r.. something is definitely off somewhere.

It all depends on how the dyno loads the car, so dyno graphs should just be a single point of reference. And you can't just "ADD" horsepower from this dyno to that; differences are typically found to be percentage based.

completely agree with you. but even from dyno to dyno, there'd be a decent calibration issue here to explain the lag/numbers.

Listen, I can compare to different dynos in "our" area. There are two dynojets that read 50whp higher given a few hp here and there. I often use them to test against ours.

So, say what you want about dynojets and dynodynamics near you. My fault for not saying in "our" area.

I am just simply putting data out there.

It is what it is. We do not use any correction factors nor different calibrations. We estimate what given load the car will like and go from there. Once the car is set with that particular load, we will not change it.

I believe this car liked 100inertia@150load.

i'm not doubting you or anything man.. just simply saying something seems off somewhere.. you have to see where i'm coming from when you're making great numbers but have a ****ty curve for the setup you're running.

where do you hit 22psi on the street?

I just find it funny how critical people can be sometimes. I simply posted up a dyno graph of a base tune for a built motor break-in. It is super laggy and conservative due to no timing and rich air/fuels. I even noted how I dislike "30r" based turbos. I will post up the new map which we finished up a while ago.

And yes this is the GG MR...The customer wanted to stop at 420whp which is roughly 480whp on our nearest dynojet. I would have loved to pump in some more timing and lean it out with some C-16.

ummm....you said the pulls where done in 4th gear.... does that not explain some lag?
