Evo ix @ 23psi + 3'' TBE

will be tuned at 93 oct + AEM shorty, and will possibly add a 2.5'' non tappered licp, the question is , do I need to upgrade my fuel pump ? and how much torque and power do u think i will be making after the tune.
Thanks,

nothing can really happen as in things with your engine it just gives your tuner more flexibility and will be there for future mods when you actually need it

My IX has those mods plus a cone air filter. The car made 337hp/338tq @24psi on a Dynojet. The factory fuel pump did fine.

Here's a link to the Dyno Chart; https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/se...got-tuned.html

Good Luck

Just a TBE? A Walbro prob isn't nnecessary. But pushing 23 psi? Yeah, I would recommend it. You might as well be safe...they're only $100 or so. And on 93 octane (gawd I wish!) a fuel pump at 23psi is seriously a good idea.

I think gas is rated differently in different countries.

You'll be anywhere around 320-340whp on a dynojet and you really should get the fuel pump for safety just as the others mentioned. I made 326whp/317wtq on 93 octane running 21psi of boost just before I made the switch to E85. Heres the link: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/se...torsports.html

btw speaking of switching to E85, how is that done? is it just a matter of draining ur gas and start using E85 with an E85 tune?, or is there more involvments than just that?and what are the advantages of switching E85?
Thanks,

You'll definitely need the Walbro Fuel pump for E85 and you will need larger injectors (I went with Precision 1000cc's). But yeah, I basically had to drain the tank of my pump 93 octane, fill it up with E85 and get a tune for it. As for the advantages, well here you go:

Blue is E85, Red is pump 93 octane

I'm actually making a bit more now since I'm running a bit more boost and I have the Forge WGA.
