Yeah, its a Precision 6262 with custom garrett/tial anti surge ported compressor housing.

Hrm, odd you say its a custom comp. cover cause when I bought my 6265 I was able to get the same milled shroud on mine without any problems.

The AMS 850R aka an AMS spec 6262 I think mostly is the combination of housings they use combined with some port work they perform on them.

Quote: What gear is that above. That is not bad lag there... did you do that log in 5th?
um,, no 3rd..

i'm not punching the throttle in 5th at that low of an rpm... i hope you don't either..

Actually I do when I am tuning, as it is a great way to put a lot of load on the motor and check for det. Once 3rd and 4th are tuned do low rpm 5th full throttle to make sure the map is 100% safe.

But thanks for the driving tip buddy!

But what I was wondering or not understanding, is you are making 23 psi in 3rd gear at 4500 rpm? And take for example a post Dave Buschur made when he was on 35r:

Quote:
Driven Innovations Intake

637 whp/507 ft lbs
20 psi @5133 rpm
34.97 psi @6297 rpm
Starting AIT 77
Ending AIT 82.40
Average AFR 11.7-11.8
This was taken from one of his intake manifold posts: http://buschurforums.com/forum/showt...t=20866&page=2

So basically you are spooling well over 700 rpm sooner than Buschur's 2 litre / 35r?

And you say the below dyno sheet, the lower torque curve is spring pressure 14 psi? Well peak torque occurs around peak boost. So according to the below plot you aren't making 14 psi until well after 4500 rpm much less 20 psi.

So your boost plot you posted and this dyno plot don't match up at all. Not even close.

I would have to double check, but in my logs for 3rd gear I am hitting ~24psi around 4900-5000 rpm. This is with a 6262 (.63 hotside).

that log was talken after the dyno tuning..

on that log 3rd gear i made 23 psi at 4571...

I can't explain the dyno chart, because I cant say when I hit full boost.. you assuming that full boost is full tq, but it maybe be + _ and we are only talking a few rpms 500... which on the road isn't ****.. 500 is so fast i can't say..

if anything i'd say my zeintronix is going to read faster than that dyno chart...

its right on what ams says on the spool time..

I also think that it depends when you go 100%tps what rpm,, which the two diagrams might of been different rpms.

not a big deal,, I'm happy with the spool,, yea at first i didn't like it cuz i was used to my green, but I adjusted my driving style until I build a motor....

would you want to roadcourse this turbo on a 2.0,, probably not.

Yeah I hear ya. I just try my best to have a sense of how responsive different setups are and I guess this 850r spools pretty well. I would have thought slower than a 35R but maybe a lot better. Anyway good luck and sorry about the inquisition.
