My own E85 tq monster

Here's my latest run from this weekend. Mods are in the signature. Please excuse the incorrect numbers in the sig- I've been messing around with some stuff to get more tq out of it. I want 400 hp and tq and I'm still trying to figure it out. It seems I can get one or the other to 400 but not both. Oh well, she's fun to drive, and that's all that matters. Any ideas on how to get them both up to 400 would be appreciated.

if you dont mind what did you have to upgrade to do E85? Do you need two 255's plus 1200cc injectors?

Boost will bring up your torque, timing will bring up your hp. What sort of timing are you running at redline?

About 11-12 degrees up top. Should I add more fuel and timing to get the hp up?

12* seems very very conservative for E85 on the stock turbo. It usually is much more north of that.

You can go beyond MBT most of the time with E85. Just keep that in mind and don't get greedy. If ignition changes stop producing decent torque(horsepower) gains, it's time to stop and turn it back a notch.

I agree w/ GST, depending on how much boost you are running and your knock counts I would say it's a safe bet to be able to add a few degrees of timing. I will usually up the timing until I no longer make additional power (MBT) and back it down a degree from there or until you are getting any knock counts (pretty hard to get on E85).

On my setup I'm running 30-32psi w/ 17-18 degrees up top and zero knock across the board. I also tune for low 12's for AFR (12.0-12.4)

yea, if your making that power at 11-12* peak on e85, your car should have alot of power left in it. my car has alot more timing in it than that, lol, with 0 knock as well. i would consider 11-12 pretty conservative for 93.

I want to thank creamo3 and gst motorsports for the advice. I started to crank the timing all over the place in little bits- especially up top. I never realized how far you could go with e85. After my session last night, I am confident that I have hit my 400hp/tq goal. The car feels even better now and doesn't fall off like it did before- it just keeps going. I was able to add up to 5 degrees at some places, but mostly 3-4 degrees all over the place.
