Ams 850 Turbo on Pump 622 whp

I tuned a nicely equiped AMS equiped Evo IX today

Some of the important mods were

AMS 850r Turbo kit
AMS Intake Manifold
Sparktech Ignition
AEM EMS tuned by Dyno Flash
Custom 3" Exhuast
Double pumper
Turbo XS fmic
AMS Race head set up
Customer build short block

At 29 psi of boost the car made 622 whp - ran really strong

After we poured in some race gas and turned up the boost I feel the limitations of the smalish fmic started to hinder the process. Sadly the customer's fairly new air intake temp sensor was not working but I feel that very hot air intake temps were rising up super high when we turned up the boost even higher

Not seeing huge gains from additional increases in boost level it was decided to leave the race gas tune on the mild side until the customer can source a larger race style fmic such as the AMS or Buschur race fmic's

What factors are leading you to want to consider to remove the EMS? Al

What do you consider pump? 93 octane or is this a pump & meth combo?

Actually we were right on the edge of calling you as these guys are street racers - however - they had a long drive home and after so many hours of tuning it was getting late - we did call the pizza boy who was able to see the car in action

They will be back in two weeks with a larger fmic so hopefully then they will be on the high 700 whp range on race gas
