FP red on a Evo8 with pump 91/92 plz

ok, I have searched and its a pain to weed through all the crap. Im looking for numbers from a specific set up. for those running a red on a evo8 with pump 91/92 on the stock ECU can you post up your dyno numbers and 1/4 miles times that back it up if you have em? I dont care what kind of dyno it was on. All most all the dyno plots ive seem say pump 93 and i have no access here in the nw to 93. Pump to me is 92oct or less unless you want argue with me that E85 is not pump even though it comes out of the same PUMP . Im currently running e85 on the stock8 turbo and want to switch to 92 and still get 400whp. thanx guys. B

Wow! so, i may be be the first person to have a red on an evo8 with the stock ecu tune for 92 huh. Cool. I did see a couple good 93oct results in the FP red results thread though.

This dyno chart is comparing a fp-red to a fp-grn.....same mods, other than cam timing differences & turbo's.

my mods: fp-red, weapon-r intake mani, mil.spec 65mm tb, ported hotside, exh mani, licp, full 3"dp, turbo xs fmic, pte 1200cc inj, cosi m2's @ +2int/0exh, aem ecu, tuned by me.

dyno charts:
dont laugh to hard on my pathetic power curves.....i dont understand the dip at 6k between the 2 runs....maybe it has something to do with my intake mani was cracked on all 4 runners & 2 of the funnels were bouncing around in the plenum...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

there isnt any knock within the data logs & afrs are @ 11.0...your head doesnt hit the steeering wheel when you run through this rpm either???The power dip is crazy...i dont understand... i didnt get this dip with the ported oem mani....

i ran 28psi on the red, 26 psi on the green...the engine responds to the higher boost on the red. on the grn, it didnt make anymore power @ 28 psi vs 26psi...
Check the FP Red dyno results thread.

How is aby running 28psi on the red isnt that unsafe on 92 pump gas? I was tuned recently with a fp red and had boost spiking issues to 28psi with a o2 dump and my tuner told me i should not run my car like that, because if i ever get a bad tank of 93 pump gas my motor might pop.

FWIW I also hate how people post their single E85 runs as their "numbers" but then go back to 91 or 93 octane and don't post that "real" info.

I'm stuck with 91 here in CA and have very little idea what people are pushing on the various turbo options with such a crap octane.

tuners can push the stock IX turbo to 27-29 psi on pump, but its true one spot of bad gas and ur out.

I hear what you are saying but some of us run e-85 full time so the numbers are real all the time. To someone that runs only E-85 .. The numbers for 91-93 are not real. make sense.

I have dual map switching for e85 or 91 and can't bring myslef to even try 91. Once you run e-85 there is no turning back

PS not trying to be a smart-*** just keeping it Real is all

that is very true.....it is very dangerous to run 93 at high boost.

thats why alot of guys run 93+meth.

93 isnt always the best lol

I run E-85 full-time too with a 93-octane map on hand and I've gone 6 months without trying the 93-octane map once.....

I have 10 E-85 pump stations within a 50-mile radius.. its the new "pump gas" here in upstate NY. If you have a station around your town... why not convert? its an easy 30 - 50WHP+ !

I run E-85 on the stock motor at 440WHP on the CBRD mustang dyno..... so its essentially a stock 2003 motor/tranny with 70k miles running E-85 with 500 dynojet WHP without a single problem! And it was the first car CBRD tuned on E-85!

If you want to run E-85 then just get tuned on it... less money for the oil companies, more environmentally friendly, cheaper, and waaaayyyy more power! Who can argue with that?!?!?!?
