Got my Evo dyno today at MAPerformance

I went to the cities to drop my mom off and pick myself a HKS megaflow intake. Decide to get some pulls off of their dyno. Made 336 first pull. I decide to have Kasey finish my tune. Got another 14whp and came to 350 at 25psi on my 18 inches wheel. Not what I thought my Tomei turbo would do but I think there is possible boost leak somewhere that I need to fix.

I know some of you will flame me because I originally have 4WSTuning tune my car and I went to MAP to have them finish it. Well, I plan on attending a race and I don't have a lot of time to do data logging. Tamer is a great tuner and knows what he's doing. If I have the time, I would let him finish what me and him started.

Tamer, if you read this thread, I hope you are ok with my decision.

No need to worry. Both tuners got paid and I'm sure they both enjoyed tuning your car. List all your mods and post up the graph

Post your mods since not all of us have sigs turned on. I'm a bit concerned why your car is so down on power with an upgraded turbo though Also, why were the dyno pulls started so late? With that turbo I'd imagine starting the pull around 2,500 RPM would be better so we could see where its spooling at and so you could tune the entire powerband (just my thoughts).

Hey! We met at the cookout a few months back, I'm the guy with the BBK. My results are posted in this forum, thank you for sharing yours! Seems like something doesn't add up, stock turbos can do that kind of power. Have you checked your compression lately or gotten a leak-down test?

Here are the mods from his sig:
Tomei ARMS/HKS 272s/HKS SMF Intake/ARP HStud/Mil.Spec/PTE880/Megan O2/Buschur Mani/3"TBE/Walbro/Hallman/Injen Intake Pipe/3"FMIC/Synchronic BOV/WORKS XC8

Interesting results since I am not very familiar with this turbo. What exactly would you expect as far as horsepower numbers from this turbo?

Considering I'm making 383+ whp (been retuned since I put down 383) at MAP on my stock turbo with pump gas I'd like to see him over 400.

Yeah those numbers seem really really low for an upgraded turbo with cams...

I think he has a pretty good boost leak, but im sure it could gain some power with some good plugs and a boost leak test. Maybe even a little e85

E85 isn't needed, we're talking pump gas #'s here

No, I haven't get a leak-down test yet. I check my compression and it's around 185 all the way across. I was thinking the same thing as you did too. I thought it should be higher too but maybe there's a leak somewhere. Or could it be that I was dyno with the 18" wheel vs 17"?

My mods are:

Tomei ARMS
HKS 272s
HKS SMF Intake
ARP HStud
Mil.Spec
PTE880
Megan O2
Buschur Mani
3"TBE
Walbro
Hallman
Injen Intake Pipe
3"FMIC
Synchronic BOV

Thanks Jon for posting my upgrades from my sig

17 vs 18" rims won't make any difference, the outside diameter of the tire should be the same (or very very close). No reds that I know of on this dyno on pump gas, but my BBK made a best of 430whp @24psi. I've was in this boat last year, search and you'll find the missing power!

A heavier/larger wheel will eat up some power, but not enough to really be concerned with. Scheides made that 430 on 18's. My guess is the run-to-run variables account for more change in power than wheels.
