norcalsrtrida,
Are you serious? 143 is comparable to 147 mph? Uh, that's not close. Nick also ran in Georgia where it's hot like Florida, so that's out the window. On top of that Nick's car is full interior, sound deadener, air bags, strut tower bars, sway bars, full exhaust, full roll cage, stock seat belts, 5 point harnesses too. So not only is it making less power, it's running 4 mph faster and weighs considerably more. Then add on the 3.73 gears and it's all out the window.
The answer about the 730 whp Mirage at the shootout, speak to the owner as he has the answer I told him that day. We had been dyno'ing AWD's all day long. When we did his car we took the AWD coupling off but forgot to switch the dyno from 2wd to AWD. It was a simple mistake, not fudging something. I didn't even know the guy. He was pissed, I was too lazy to dyno it again and gave him his $30 back. I am 100% in agreement the numbers can easily be fudged, that's my entire point. In the case you are bringing up it was an accident and the owner was told and refunded his money. Can you drop it now?
There is no down playing our dyno as OUR dyno reads the same as CBRD, Doug's, Reese's and STM's for example. That makes all of ours the SAME.

Congrats again Nick , What will the 4.11 gear run 4th out to @ 8500 rpm do you know nick.
That 3.73 is some real street running with supra topend gears , sucks for track Owns for topending !!!!!

Tim, slorice just posted a spreadsheet with the gearing vs RPM. This car will have to go well beyond what I recommend for RPM to finish the 1/4 mile.
John Shepherds EVO has a BR built stroker in it and an HTA82 on it, that was last year. It made 586 whp on our dyno, is absolutely full weight, full exhaust, full interior etc. and ran 9.90's at 142 mph, he has 4.11's and was crossing the finish line at 8750 rpm.
Nick is going to have to let this car rev and get the job done. He's planning a different build anyway, so if the engine gets damaged................that's racing.
As can be seen by the dyno sheet, the car is gaining good power still at 7800 rpm where I stopped the pull.

awesome numbers on a mustang dyno!
The 4.11 FD is definetly a nice mod for a high HP stroker! I'm considering it too.

This is kinda off topic but....
Dave tuned my friend Tara's car. Made a best of 493 on his dyno....

I drove it strait through to Dallas TX took a 2 hour nap and put it on another mustang dyno. Looked identical to Dave's, It was on Oklahoma E85 which leaned it out a bit from the ohio E85.
It made 504hp there, torque was within 1 ftlb.

In my unbiased opinion the dyno's read exactly the same, the 10ish whp came from the leaner fuel.

but on a side note i bolded some important parts. i know your lil paragraph was a gesture towards TTP so i have to ask since this is a perfect comparison...
TTP's #s were 763hp, and 713 uncorrected and ran 10.1@143.
that is eerily similar to your customer's 702hp car that ran 10.1@147
w/ correction factors removed from the equation, is TTP's dyno actually that far off when comparing both cars in the above example?

I think a better comparison is "Project White" vs Ryu's evo.
Same turbo
Same slicks
Similar weight
Both Stock-ecu
Both Good drivers
Take the time to compare the dyno#'s vs moh
PS..
Not trying to single Ryu's car out, there just isn't another ttp car in this ballpark to go off of.

I'm syked to get it out to the track and get that time. It's been a couple year process and well worth waiting for. Appreciate the props!Originally Posted by vwjeff

fwiw - The MD at FFTEC also reads very similar to those posted above and the mph seem to be on par w/ most 560-575 has netted 142.9 mph although my car is an RS w/ small front brakes.......w/ the cage and myself it's about 3150lbs
We don't have many local accessable DJ's to compare with

An even better comparison would be my Beater evo vs. ryu's Both cars run 10.30s with the red turbo @ 132 mph. My car weights 3330 with me in it!
My car made 475 horse on the red when it ran the 10.30's @ 132
