2Dr EVO into 10's on BFG KDW2

SO we went to BOTI in Fontana CA finals on Nov 22, 2009. It was a last minute thing for me because I didn't even know about this even until the day before the event. I took the Mirage down to Cali to see what she runs on a well preped track. I was hoping to hit 10's on BFG KDW2, 18x9.5 HRE 3-piece wheels, and Big brake kit (8piston front, 6piston rear). Just the way the car sits when I go to carshows.lol.. The car weighs 3200lbs with driver in it btw.
THANK YOU TO ALL MY SPONSORS and FRIENDS to get me this far!

First pass of the day after missing the 1st round qualifying runs:

Qualified 2nd, and got me a buy run (1st 10.8 at 138 mph pass on the car):

Semi finals, (back to back 10's passes):

The 3rd run, I lost to a subaru that ran 8.9 at 150+mph... over all, it was a nice race. took 2nd place on Street Tuner class. My very first time racing on a event like this. Not bad eh? lol..
So far my goal this year were met. I wanted to break in the 700 HP range and hit 10's on street tires by the end of 2009. I did 742 awhp and 603 awtrq and rand 10's back to back.

anyways, here's the dyno sheet and the dyno video:

For some reason I tend to think you dont have a BBK turbo so what BBK are you referencing in the first sentence?

Cool car and congrats!

Probably right Steve because it would require lareger diameter lower profile wheels/tires! Good thinking there!

Im sorry i meant big brake kit.. i have 8 pistons front calipers and 6 pistons rear calipers. I have a AMS 850r turbo kit, not the BBK turbo kit.. sorry for the misunderstanding. hehe

Do you have a post on what all is done to your car? Who built your car? I have been wondering how to do this kind of set up on a mirage.

Was this a direct drop in? Or did you have to mod the motor mounts or get custom ones? How much did the swap cost you? Is it a pain in the a$$?

to do a swap like this would prolly run you bout 5Gs on parts. thats not including labor. thats on bone stock setup (evo 4-6). the best way to do the swap is buy a complete front clip... this way you have the engine harness and sensors/fusebox, etc etc..
just the way the car sits now without the sponsor help, would prolly cost me over 25k, i think:
WP Pro BBK 8 piston front/6 piston rear -$7k
HRE 3-piece wheels - $6k
BFG kdw2 - $1k
2.1 destroke by Trevtec Motorsport - $4500
SBR stage 5 head - $1500
Sheptrans evo4 upgraded tranny - $2500
Sheptrans stage 3 evo5 TC w/ evo8 quaife lsd - $1800
Status Ring CF seats - $3200/pair
Paint job - $3500
Custom chromoly 4-point cage - $700
Takata long harness - $600

What kinda 60' were you pulling? What kinda dyno is that? Seems like 740 should get ya more then a high ten but then again not knowing your launch traction I can't speculate.

Nice job on your goals.
