My first time on the 9sec9 site and
I think there are just too many vendors on this forum. The quiet ones are the ones making the money. Instead of sitting at their computers bashing others, they are in their shops working. How can anyone get any work done if they're on the forums fighting all day?
3150+ driver weight (170 pounds) = 3320 I weighed more than you did and trapped higher...is it that hard to believe that I could be making upwards of 40hp more than you?
Check the correction factor listed at the bottom. .97CF
Boost log showed 40.2psi on c16

being just a union carpenter i could'nt argue my knowledge to yours as i am no where near your knowledge in the evo and for that matter engines as a whole. i just take the times and weight and throw it on the drag times calc. and it shows you at like 514 crank usable hp me at like 509 then i minus 74 for drivetrain. and besides i was on 100 oct. @30psi on blizzaks, shifting to 5th again no disrespect, just trying to sort out all the numbers i see

RTEarnie, My car was full weight when we set the stock motor record. It weighed around 3400 with me in it at the time.
Now my car is pretty light, but not cut up. IT still has a lot to loose but I'm not that interested in cutting it up as I really like what it has become.
Things it can still loose. Heat, power windows(all 4), Glass, Door speakers, Exhaust, door bars and a bunch more. I have nothing to hide from the community, I even posted weights of my car and what we took out while building the car.
you can find that here...

As for catching up with AMS, I will never do it with this car. I cant bring myself to cut it apart. I may someday give it a go with another Evo, but I know it will be tough. I give them all kinda of props for where they have gotten.

This is true. I'd prefer to buy my parts and get my installs done by people who work, not by keyboard jockeys.

So is it a heavy race car that's down on power? Or is it a light street car that makes race-like power?
A street car that you race? Or a Race car that you drive on the street?
What's in a title?
Either way the car is not comparable to what "we" the customer drive. Do you have A/C on your car? Bumper beams? Sound deadening? ACD? Stock driveshaft? Full size Brembo brakes? yet somehow after reading your posts I'm led to think that I too can ran run 10.0x's on a stock shortblock. Misleading? I think so.
Look no farther that Markymark's STM built stock evo8 car that ran an 11.0. Oh yeah... total street car. I know Mark from the 1st gen neons we came from... that car was defintely stripped 'n lightened... and is misleading to your average customer who thinks they can easily achieve 11.0's on a stock 8 turbo.

How is anything we did with our car misleading if it is all documented and put right in front of you. Do you read what I post? Seems you may not of been one of the 16,000 +veiws of our build thread. We even gave pics of it so you didnt have to read. Not sure how much more upfront we could have been...
Marks car was defiantly light and anyone who wants to see what was done to get it there just do a search, It will show up. Again not misleading. Any of my customers know what we do to get our cars to perform the way they do. Anyone that comes through our door is first sold light weight parts and makes power after wards. Its a pretty simple theory, Less weight = less parts broken and a faster car.

On Saturday and Sunday over Christmas?
R/T Ernie, I think you are off quite a bit in much of what you said. You call myself, Mike and Emery the trouble makers here. The problem is we did not write up the crap in question. Emery simply posted a response to what was written. You don't have to go searching for it, there are links to that non-vending site and people read the crap and many of them believe it.
It's business and false claims need to be called out because false claims are also false advertising.
You are a smart man R/T, take the time to look around and figure out much more of the BS. Like doing the math on a stock fuel pump and stock EVO injectors and how much HP they can make, that's simple math. Or counting how many mods are done, I think it's easy enough for most people to count to 2, but then they get told 6=2 if you don't mention 2-4-5 or 6.
I'm plenty busy but we are all off for Christmas break. When I'm at the shop I have 7 other guys there to work, gives me time to be on the internet.
Something else I can absolutely assure you of R/T is there are VERY few people who care about the absolute quickest/fastest EVO, THAT title is a title that real EVO customers can not relate to actually. Believe me because we've held both ends of that record and still hold the MPH record 3 years later. It's great for bragging rights but in reality EVO customers don't really care. There was very little interest in our black car when we had it. My RS on the other hand has a HUGE following as did Project White.
I don't know who you were referring to about the tin can cars but that is not the case of my RS or Emery's car. Neither car is cut up at all. My car has all the door beams, air bags, big Brembo's etc. I will also say that you are out of touch with most serious EVO owners. Most of them who want to go fast absolutely remove crash beams (which I may need to state aren't even on EVO's in other countries, that was a USA requirement), they take the time to take the sound deadener out of their cars, they buy lightweight exhausts like ours, they remove all the crap they no longer need like evap canisters, intake manifold bracket etc., they also install a good light suspension and with those things done they end up with EVO's that even with A/C and such weigh in between 2900 and 3000 pounds. That is just smart modifications. You may have been talking about taking it further than that and if so, my apologies.
As for the topic at hand, Emery's car has made 650'ish whp on his dyno and mine at up to 40 psi. The car at that power level has gone 156 mph. The other car has made 700 whp on Cobb's dyno at 4x. PSI of boost and ran a best of 149 mph with a dog box at the same weight.
To talk a bunch of **** about the dyno's being the same etc. is simply rediculous.
