Top Level tests the Boomba TB to 600hp on pump...

Every now and then we have a customer that really pushes the envelope. In search of more power we decided to introduce the Boomba TB to another "Average Joe".

Subject vehicle;

Evo 8
Top Level Spec'd drop in pistons/rods
Precision 6262
Cosworth Cams
Stock head with arp's
Magnus Intake manifold
Top Level Spec intercooler piping
Top Level Spec fuel system
Straight 93 octane
Aem Ems
E-Spec tuned

You may have seen this car on my Youtube channel on it's previous trip to Atco go 11.50 on the brakes (99 to the 1/8th ). The owner, like many others, wanted a chance to finally spin the rollers since it's only been road tuned.

First spin off the street... 538hp @27-26psi (Straight wastegate)

Got afr's in check, installed the boost controller, and set peak boost to 31.8psi...

At these power levels, it just makes sense to run real gas or at least meth. We took the time to have a team meeting and let him hit the streets with 28psi and 568hp.... Took a 4th gear run to make sure everything was on par...

On a side note, for safety precautions, we have a boost cut set around 33psi. While adjusting the boost controller, we hit the boost cut, and I wanted to share just how fast this combo hits 33psi on a 'soft' pump gas map in 3rd gear!!

You can see the blue and burgundy lines on the graph end around 5750 rpm.

Turbo lag is overrated. Good things come to those who wait!!!

Overall, how did you like the Boomba? I been thinking to swap out my Works aperature for this one and wondering if it's even worth it.

Good job!
It was a fun dyno session

This car has a stock head, but Magnus IM and Boomba TB are doing their job of letting the motor breathe up-top!

Although my crappy Blackberry 8900 does not capture sound well, the car sounded clean, crisp and violent!

Congrats to Top Level Crew!

Is this for your evo 8 red setup?30 psi is the max i would run on pump but if your using e85 or meth then i would go 34 psi max.
