Just got back from the track and the best I could manage on my stock clutch was a 12.1@117mph. Pretty happy bc the local track is know for it's poor prep on sport compact days. It did however provide me some shake down passes so I can get ready for BIR's track!

It was a 1.75 60'. I half throttled off my 2-step and slipped the clutch, and couldn't belive it worked out! I know my 245/40/17's made my gearing a lttle too short, but I really didn't have a better option to use for today.

12.1 is not a bad time.. I bet you should be able to get into the High 11s with a couple more passes. How many runs you get in?

I got in 5 but could have ran a few more...I kinda felt like I'm on barrowed time on the stock clutch so I called it a day.

Some good runs Kevin! It takes talent not to burn that clutch. The trap is what we are after and I know it's got alot left with a better clutch and tire set up.

Were they all in the low 12s?

Good thing you stopped when you could, because I bet that clutch would have went to boom. I know mine did when I was just doing some logs.

Got better with more passes.. I don't know why, but it seems like you should be running high 11s easily. I'm pretty sure I could run mid 12s in mine.

My mods:
Ets intake
Invidia Dp&tp
Greddy cat-back
Walbro fp
Act HD/6-puck
Tuned at 22psi

I would turn up the boost to 24-25 when I finally make it to the track in about 2weeks.

My clutch (lock out) and tires (height/gearing) was holding me back. I have the power to go high to mid 11's all day long. There were a couple other Evo's there with less MPH running in the 11's.

Man, that's some s***. That's the times I was expecting. At least you know you have the right engine mods for a mid to low 11s car.

For reference, My car is only 15 more whp than bulletproofs car on the same dyno.
Get the clutch Kevin. We are gonna hit cedar falls next. Jason is not a member here yet but he is ready to go anytime. They are talking about Wednesday night drags at BIR.
