Lol, I know right! Maybe David Empringham got tired of the Sierra Sierra Evo and wanted something fast.

We'll be taking this car to summerslam this weekend and allow the beast to stretch its legs... 6-speed being the main concern, we'll just be looking at MPH because the et will be off considerably.

See you guys at the track!![/QUOTE]

^^^this is the reason we decided to up the power...and for the road course, i can magically turn down the boost to wastegate pressure and the car has a very manageable 500/370 on pump gas...

500/370 is much saner... your post just didn't read like the owner planned to drop it down ~250 hp. You've certainly seen the posts of new EvoM members that read like "I want a 950 whp Evo for road racing, what parts do I need?" I guess its a personal pet peeve.

For Summerslam I'm curious what your plans are for the 6-spd with that kind of power? Does it have an OEM TC as well as 6-spd? What clutch? Is the owner planning to go to a built 5-spd if/when the MR trans turns into a pile of metal shavings?

I have to say that car does sound mean as ****. Good luck with the granny shifting... I blew up my 6-spd with way less power road racing.

Update... We took the car to summerslam -- 6-speed was a pita,,, Turned boost down to 27-28psi -- ripped 100mph to the 1/8th. Had some tranny issues.

Apparently the shifter cable popped off of the linkage -- Coasted an 11.1@ 108 mph!!! Heard some rattle noise from the tranny and I thought it was done,,, turned out to be the flywheel bolts loose.

While the tranny was down for inspection, Dr.Evil decided to bite the bullet and cross over to the five speed. We built him a nice looooong ratio tranny to complement the stroker and got the car ready for Watkins Glen!!

Enjoy,,
