BBK SD remap with new parts

In my pursuit for stock spool and with maximum bhp and the fact i rate the BBK full as one of the best real world turbo's with great spool and awesome transient response.

Originally it made 470bhp & 440/450lbs
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ull-ix-uk.html

So not wanting to change the BBK full to the new BBK-B yet i thought i'd see what alternatives for achieving more power.

I headed up to Matt's (TRL) for a 40k cambelt change service, a SD remap and the following parts (£950);

Rev 2 intake manifold
Spool'n Up COP
Thermo intake gaskets
Boomba 75mm Throttle body
Boomba large fuel rail
MAF by pass pipe
Solid gear change bushes
Hel clutch pipe

So Matt strapped in on the dyno to get he SD base mapped and it pulled in the same figures as last year 469bhp. so it was whipped off for a 40k service and installed the parts.Results are good the best pull we had was 486.5bhp/460lbs with many 480bhp's! I have to say mid range pull has improved the power band has expanded and overtaking whilst cruising is ace. I'm very happy with the results i'd say the throttle pedal has a very different feel to standard tb in pressure and actual pedal travel. But overall im happy with the results which were a result of all the mods and Matt's Mapping

I would invest in a camsensor heatshield

The exhaust manifold is a Pro Stock full race manifold mated to a non ported BBK full and then on to a modular s/steel 3" down pipe and Miltek 3" cat back. All my cars have been run hard whilst remapping not sure the exact temperature but you'd be surprised what colours you get on trackday's

I assume the red pipe off the (old) MAF is the intake? What intake is that? It looks like it's directed down to a cold air intake but I haven't seen anything like it.

Yeah its an APS cold air induction system, its a 3.5" intake pipe that reaches right next to the mesh in the bumper.
