If it is anything like it was when Eric and I took a ride, it is nasty...

Not on pumpgas. Its done on pump at that level, when I want to make more than 650 it goes back to E85. I am going to discuss my new turbo kit with ETS today so if I do what I am thinking of doing then yeah maybe 700 on pump.

nice number Aaron!

You keep making me think about replacing the fpblack on my car for the fp3586, that curve sure looks nice!

Well I am not sure exactly how many of Dave's cars have made over 708 on his dyno (that would be roughly 800+ DJ) but at last count the total amount of cars were only 6 or 7 counting the few of Dave's I know of (mostly Evos but there are a couple of DSMs). There are dozens that make over 700 and still quite a few that make 750+.

700 on our dyno on an HTA86 on race fuel or E85 is tough to do. I can think of 5 cars right off the top of my head that have done it.

My next setup after the hta3794r will be a gtx4202r on pump gas I'd love to see what that turbo can do on straight pump

Not sure how many cars we are thinking of that might overlap and the exact list I used to keep in my head is a little fuzzy.

I think that Curt's 1G was over 8, Devon at Boomba was just over, Strictly modified had a car that was just over, Freddie302 made 804 on a Dynodynamics that was supposed to have read like a DJ, Most wanted made 800 something, SloRice?...someone made 708 not too long I think. I am sure you have others that I am failing to remember right now as well.

Not many to be sure though.

Aaron:

The knock voltage is pretty high up top. Obviously the multipliers have been adjusted, but is there any concern in the back of your head? Even if the plugs look fine...? Thats pretty loud...

BTW Nice graph, have not checked your build thread but assuming not 2 litre and higher compression...

Bill,

I was concerned at first by the voltage. I have been watching the plugs and listened to it via detcans, added racegas. Its clean as far as knock but there are alot of other things that have potential for causing it: My cams and valvetrain, the .005 piston to wall, the turbo, the dump echoing off the dyno deck.

Its not noisy on the street like that so while I realise its not preferred I know there were other factors involved. I went through all my high boost logs and maps, the timing in the car is the same as when it was a stock 2.0L actually making 574. It is a 9:1 2.4 LR motor right now. The multipliers have actually only been manipulated from 4500 and down heavily and then lightly to 5500. Everything above 5500 is stock as far as those go. As someone pointed out it doesnt mean its past knock to preignition (which acoustic knock sensors wont detect) but checking the plugs has ruled that out for now.

Well if you added race fuel and voltage stayed consistant, then its more than likely all the others factors together. Still would make my arm hair stand up seeing 3+ volts. None the less, loving the setup!
