Boostin Performance + SD + Evo 9 + 93 oct & E85 = Awesome!

As some of you may know, my name is Devin Schultz (DevinTuned). I’ve been involved with the EvoM community for many years now and have recently opened my own shop called Boostin Performance.

Check out are grand opening announcement post!
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mi...ck-us-out.html

This is a Evo 9 I recently tuned on Speed Density. I was very happy with our results on pump gas (93oct) so I thought I would share them with you guys. I noticed a dramatic improvement in drivability. There are no hesitations when you lift off the throttle like on a maf car. When the BOV releases it’s the same, nice and smooth.

Mods:
  • 3" Turbo Trix intake with Vibrant air filter
  • AMS intercooler and piping, Tial Q BOV
  • Invidia O2 housing and full 3" exhaust
  • Turbosmart Manual boost controller
  • Omni 4 bar map sensor
  • 255 Fuel Pump, still on the stock injectors (130% duty cycle)
  • Stock Evo 9 Turbo
  • Stock Evo 9 Mivec cams

I would like to thank all the stock ecu gurus that made this possible! Tephra your donation is waiting for you. I've got some FIC 1150's, so when I get some time at the shop, I'm going to install the FIC injectors and retune the car. Ill post my results soon, and 400+ whp should not be a problem on E85!

really good numbers! I would love to see the injectors in there and the boost cranked up, running e85.

GOOD JOB!

No worries mark. We are going 10s on 93 all day long!

You might have to take it easy on the AWD burnouts. I got your clutch out today; its seen better days. Oh well, rebuild it and light em up!!

Me too. I would like a mid to bottom 11 second pass on the stock tubo and cams!

No sir, it runs clean and smooth. Since the car has been tuned, the outside temps have dropped into the single digits. It started right up every time no matter how cold it was. No issues at all. It runs perfect!

Ya I was suprized it made that power on the stockers.

The car was tappering a little leaner then I would have liked at redline. So for now I backed it down to 24 psi until we get the FIC 1150's in it.

The stock injectors must be close to 100% duty cycle.

According to evoscan they were at 130% duty cycle. I’ve noticed you really don’t run out of fuel with the stock ecu until about 120% injector duty cycle.

With AEM this seems to be the other way around, 90-95% injector duty cycle and you’re out of fuel.

stock injectors with stock fuel pressure on the dynapak dyno run out (actually run lean) at 260kwatw(350whp), we had to drop it back to 240kwatw (320whp) to get a flat AFR reading

The plan is to get this car out to the track this weekend and see what she can do.
We'll post up results as soon as we have them.
