Actually BR never built this motor. It was done across the street from them by their machine shop who does not have access to the custom parts Dave sells. The motor did not "blow up" It spun a bearing. It could be from several things. This car was originally brought to us with the oil pump gear hanging out of the timing cover with no nut on it and had been run like that. Honestly, I can't believe it made it as long as it did.

As far as the high compression vs. low. We still have no clue what is even done to this motor. lol. From what we have seen in all the builds we have done with high compression BR motors, Not one has had an issue.

Yes this was built by chuck of wakeman power, emery is right it did not blow up not even close, it was having very minoot rod knock, the reason why the oil pump gear issue i had was because that section was not double checked by chuck i trusted him and well got burnt for doing so.. Just want to clear it up that i did not damage or f the car up when i got the motor back from chuck i had many parts missing... its what i get for trying to do things cheap. i have sense learned and im heading out to buschur to have dave look this engine back over and fix things chuck did half assed.. now there will be no issues or second guessing emery you know dave will have built this motor and we will be putting me into the 9's possible 8's
