all hes doing is doing it the old school way.. using v5 tephra stuff.. if anything its a downgrade to get away from the bigger maps. (Not that that's a bad thing - i use small maps too on all EDM cars)

if you researched the forum up and down you would see this. when sd was first introduced by JCSBanks you had to prepatch the rom manually.

Some of it is that, however there are other things he does different as well Tom... whatever he does it obviously works... ER has thousands of satisfied customers, and some of the fastest street cars you never hear about... You don't have to utilize big maps every single tune to get great results, sometimes it is overkill... but thanks for your opinion...

If what he does is a secret then thats cool. However my curiousity says you have it and thousands of others do so i was just wondering what it was.. respectively since it made the title. A war is not needed nor intended.

I have the basic stuff I need to change defined... unless you have Aarons exact XML package you won't be able to see all the other stuff that is done... I only "have" it since it was tuned by ER previously... before I made any changes to the rom I spoke with ER since technically it is their intillectual property...

as far as functionality goes his roms are no different then anything else available on the forum.. he alters things to make the car do certain things, as does every other tuner.. there are little things that can be done to smooth shifting etc..

bottom line is this.. the latest and greatest SD roms are in the tephra v7 thread.. that is a fact. ask any other tuner..

I don't like this smoke and mirrors stuff going on. no idea why you mentioned the other stuff you did, im just explaining to you what you're saying is false.

Haha.

Your ignorance and arrogance are astounding. Aaron has figured out soo many more memory addresses than what comes standard with the Ecuflash software. I'd venture to say that he's found more calibratable tables, maps, and parameters than you're actually using Tom.

Of course you can't see that because you're don't have these tables defined... because you haven't spent the last few years working on this.

my point was, its the same sd code everyone uses by JCS BANKS. that is all. the difference is it uses oldschool rom with sd patch and stuff..

Fred replied like it was something different but its not.. thats why i replied with what i replied..

the v7 sd's in the tephra v7 have pretty much every add on needed for anybody.

nothing wrong with his method, not once did i say there was.. i just suggested it was a downgrade because of the smaller maps.. but thats an opinion.. not a fact.

so if you took what i said the wrong way Fred I apologize..

I should of said (older version) and not (downgrade).

It's available in Fulton. And don't give me any distance crap, it's only about 55 miles, same distance I travel for it. Man up and get it by the drum(s).

Tom, I never implied the ER SD programming was special, I said it is unique... Im not a big fan of SD to begin with...

However to be completely honest your post did come off a tad demeaning towards Aaron's abilities and expertise, he is one of if not THE most recognized and respected stock ECU tuners in the community especially when it comes to SD tuning.

You are correct that the SD code used is the same, that is not what I am saying is unique...
