CBRD Tuned at 26.2psi 405whp/345wtq

After they did the complete 60K with a Gates Racing Kevlar timing belt, installed GRC S2 Cams and Springs, ARP head studs and a Pierburg 3-Port, gave me a boost leak test, and adjusted my Synapse DV:

On 93octane pump gas. That nice round curve really makes a difference in daily drivability plus, the car is still scary fast after driving it around for 3 weeks. I also had them bump the rev limiter up to 8000 RPM so I can take advantage of the turbo and wind it out to 7500 without bouncing of of it all the time.

I think I screwed myself not getting the Perrin intake and the 3.8 garrett core FMIC. Maybe next year.

ALOT of fun. No doubt I looked at your mods and results while specing out mine. many times. just wish I'd paid attention to the 3.8 garret core discussion more closely and consulted more with chad about the perrin before hand. my bad.

Would you mind doing a log and running it through the Virtual dyno, just curious. Gorgeous powerband on proper mods!

I will. I'm considering doing the perrin myself and learning how to fine tune. but that will be later. right now I don't even have tactrix.

I started out at DPS who do great work (mainly on Subies) but they weren't ready to do the 3-port and Chad does that as a standard setup. I also thought it was prudent for that last little bit (particularly head studs which I read here could be tricky) to take it to an Evo specialist because I want my car to last for the next 10 years. Plus I wanted to see the numbers on a mustang. So I had my brother drive with me to drop it off and took a Greyhound bus up there to pick it up. For those that are interested the Greyhound station is a 5 minute drive or a 55 minute walk from CBRD. Next time I'll just bus it again. Well worth it.

I definately read your story. I read nearly this entire forum. j/k. but I read a lot here, it was absolutely invaluable. I still didn't get it all exactly right, particularly that damn perrin. I should have done that. Oh well, I have something else to look forward to.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

nice setup! 406hp at only 26.2psi is really impressive especially on their dyno
