335whp SD '06 SE

Picked the car up in Denver on the 14th from another member on this forum after flying from Fairbanks, AK. The car is ment to be for my woman so she can have her own an not worry about breaking anything on mine when she drives it. The car is a GG '06 SE model. Mods it already had when we picked it up consisted of exhaust, intake, intercooler (stock piping), and very mild cams. I personally wanted more for her so I ordered some parts from ETS since we had planned to drive it to Seattle an make a small trip out of it all. An appointment for a new tune was then make with ER for the new parts, swap to SD, an 90 octane base map for it (90 is the highest offered in Alaska). The owner said it was previously tuned with CBRD on 91 an made 320whp but was excessivly effected by elevation (which we soon verified with the drive we put it thru). With the new parts installed and a tune running 89 octane roughly it was strapped to the dyno at ER so Aaron could go to work. New number came out at 335whp and 301wtq @ 25psi on 89-90octane. For her it should be good for this summer but for later who knows, and the car will be driven year round in the rain, thru dirt and mud, and gettin packed full of snow during the winter nights at -40 below temps.

335whp and 301wtq @ 25psi on 90oct based SD tune
Mods:
ETS 3" stock turbo SD intake
ETS short route 2.5" UICP
ETS LP2 LICP
ETS small battery kit
HKS FMIC
HKS SSQV V4 BOV
HKS 264 cams
JGT 500 full 3" TBE
Unknown O2 housing (TBD)
Omni Power 4bar MAP
Grimmspeed 3port

...and under the hood will be gettin cleaned up when we get back to Alaska

......and the Roush in the pics with it is our old roomates...he is down in Seattle with us having his dyno'd an tuned after changes this winter. He hit 723whp an 682wtq @ 21psi on 100oct tuned by Andy at TMS.

The car runs great...I believe it is a much more efficient tune on it now to cause with the drive from Tacoma to Camas I went thru 3/4 tank but with the return drive I was still above half tank an that was with opening it up quite a bit to see how it would run.

Glad to see you are bringing another Evo to alaska. We are slowly running out..... Do you plan to run the mini battery year round? -40 in the winter in FBX might make for some cold cold starts. We saw -20 and my car wouldnt crank over.

Yea we will see...my small battery in my '03 died twice on me last winter so we will see how things go...if anything it will get a battery in the trunk

+1 for trunk battery, if I drove it in the winter that's what I would do. If you ever make it to anchorage let us know. It's been raining so no track time this weekend.

Yea we will be down a couple times this summer but it will be after I finish putting my '03 back together...

English Racing does their SD tune without an AIT sensor so there is no effect for ambient temp or altitude...it should run the same as it does during the summer...
